I highly recommend renting this facility. The rental fee and the space are unmatched. It is my favorite go to when I plan any event that I will have more than 20. The hanger or barn were perfect graduation, Christmas, birthday parties or showers/weddings. Open the hanger doors and we had the outside, but were sheltered from the rain. Plenty of paved parking so no mud or snow. Formal or casual, large group or smaller, nice weather or inclement it has proven the perfect space for many of our events and definitely allowed me to think outside the box when I plan.

I wish 5 stars wasn't the limit, I'd give 10 if I could! Our wedding at Forbidden Lake Farms was everything we dreamed of and more. The two of us with our families beside a serene lake, surrounded by nature’s beauty, the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. The evening air was calm, the sky glowing with soft golden hues, and the lake mirrored it all—creating a breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and celebration which was planned relatively quickly! One of the biggest highlights was the bridal house, an on-site Airbnb that absolutely blew us away. It was not only stunning but also incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully prepared. Getting ready there felt like a luxury experience, and it added a personal, cozy touch to the whole day. We can’t speak highly enough of the staff at Forbidden Lake Farms. Every single person went above and beyond (including the owners) to make sure the day ran smoothly. They were attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best experience possible. The venue itself is a hidden gem with beautiful wildflowers (that we picked for our wedding), and grounds that were meticulously maintained. We were lucky to find it early and save money by booking a 2025 date, which made the experience even sweeter. It’s clear this is a place where unforgettable memories are made. If you're considering a wedding surrounded water, we highly recommend Forbidden Lake Farms. It was the perfect place to begin our forever.

Please contact us on our website or email us directly. We first used our barn for our daughter's wedding because she wanted to have her magical day in the barn and backyard she grew up in. We had our first Big Barn Venue wedding in 2018 and we continued to book more dates throughout the wedding season. Our barn does not have heating or air so we cannot accommodate much farther outside of the months of June - October. Our brides, grooms, family and friends that have visited the barn for a wedding have truly enjoyed the country scenery we offer and also the amount of space the wedding has to use for a reception and ceremony. Photographers love the fields and they enjoy using almost all of the 200 acres for beautiful photos and videos.
