The home started as a four room, story and a half house with a detached kitchen. During the civil war era the massive lawn, with huge oak and pecan trees, quickly became a favorite place for many young people in town for picnics and family gatherings. Your Something Old & New! Olde Dobbin Station will provide a unique experience for its clients through the use of old structures built in the early 1900’s, restored to their original look and feel, while adding a vintage touch. The buildings were initially used by oil companies as a “pumping station” and later became a famous place of fellowship for those in the community due to its Artesian Water Well. It became the community “swimming hole” according to many of the locals and remains a historical marker for the community and its residents. Olde Dobbin has recently renovated its final structure and officially has made it into a chapel. The “chapel” was initially used in the late 1800’s as a pump house for the nearby trains' steam.

Moondance Weddings and Events is a relaxed and casual space. We are on a 60 acre ranch that has a house, very spacious garage, and lots of outdoor space. The garage, where most couples book, is fully done with air conditioning for those hot Texas days. It is attached to where most ceremonies are held. The concrete walkway and area overlooks the property to make sure your wedding photos are beautiful, nature-filled shots. We can host up to 200 guests, so we are best for small weddings. We are also a raw venue, meaning we only offer the space and nothing else.
