Nestled among the pine trees of Nacogdoches, Zion Hill Baptist Church is a beautifully restored 1914 historic landmark designed by renowned architect Diedrich Rulfs. Once home to one of the oldest African American congregations in Texas, the church stands today as a testament to timeless Southern charm and community resilience. Zion Hill has been thoughtfully updated with modern amenities—including climate control, security systems, and handicap accessibility—ensuring comfort while preserving its historic integrity. This space features soaring vaulted ceilings, imported and original windows, beautifully preserved hardwood floors, restored pews, and a sloped sanctuary floor for an optimal view of the pulpit from any seat.

Our most versatile space!
This space is located in the main entrance area of the venue and allows for smaller gatherings such as micro receptions (< 20) rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, and meetings. The basement features windows that line the exterior wall, providing plenty of natural light, and it houses both the restrooms and the kitchenette for ease of access. Reception space in the basement is limited.

The days and times of the rental are as follows: Friday 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m., Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. An $800 refundable deposit and event liability insurance is required.
