“I found Mike via thumbtack & although on there it stated he was booked on my wedding date I thought I’d still reach out to him. I’m so happy I did because he put me in touch with our dj, thankyouteddy and he did an awesome job djing for our wedding! Mike was very informative and gave me plenty of information. He also has you do a questionnaire to help narrow down the right dj for you based off your music preferences. Mike will reached out periodically to follow up & also puts you in touch with the dj the week of the wedding to go over details. Teddy arrived on time and kept everyone on our toes throughout the night. The only thing I will say, is if you’re doing bridal party introductions it’s best to rehearse it if possible. Or give an exact time of the song for your dj to play when each couple comes out.”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

I got into DJing by accident. After learning that working as an Industrial Engineer in a fortune 500 company didn't bring me much fulfillment, a friend suggested I join his DJ company. His company supplied DJ services for over 250 weddings a year! After my first wedding gig I was hooked. It gave me purpose, and an outlet I never knew was possible. I had mutual friends from college that knew him and had attended teacher trainings with his significant other. We were told we *might have him as our DJ but our purchase level wouldn’t guarantee it. As the reception began, the power/sound went out multiple times, and he powered through. I truly have never seen a wedding DJ more positively encourage and engage guests. “I don’t know where to start with Dillon and Electric Sugar…. They were incredible. Plain and simple. I worked with Dillon leading up to wedding weekend and he was kind, prompt, professional, and fun. We worked together to create a set list that was perfect for our taste in music. Dillon also played guitar at our ceremony and it was beautiful. He did a combo of guitar and prerecorded music per our request and it was perfect. He brought all the equipment needed for our officiant to have a microphone as well. The Electric Sugar band as a whole played for our reception. We had them for 3 hours and the dance floor was packed for 3 hours. They were so much fun and SO talented!!! It was the best party and they were a huge reason behind it! I would recommend them to anyone for their wedding or any other occasion they are looking to add spice and energy too. If we ever host another event where music is needed I would book them in a heartbeat”
