I'm Derek Carlson, owner of D James Videography, the wedding brand of BlindShade, based in Oro Valley, Arizona. Marcos Vidal is a native Tucsonian who attended the University of Arizona for film and television. At it's roots Laughing Dog started with three friends creating videos in 2004. Behind the passion of creating is a story of loss, Andrew Rees was the initial founder who gathered his two friends Marcos, and Danny to help create videos. Andrew passed away in 2009 from complications from being diagnosed with leukemia. In time the company would mature to creating feature films, music videos and event coverage.

Blake and Awon, two best friends with a shared passion for storytelling, turned their love for creativity into a wedding filmmaking adventure. After Blake retired from the military, the duo felt something was missing in the wedding film industry—too many films felt boring and dry, lacking the authenticity and energy that make each love story unique. They set out to change the game, bringing humor, heart, and creativity to every celebration. Their mission? To capture real, unscripted moments most others miss, crafting films that don’t just document weddings but bring them to life, turning your day into a story you'll relive forever.
