Bring Joy - Florals & Events

5.0

  • Starts at $1,000
  • Serves Texas City, TX

I started Bring Joy because I fell in love with arranging flowers while working as a shop manager in Katy. Since 2017, I've been working hard to grow my company and have recently hired Rebecca who has been with me from the start, offering advice to perfect my arrangements. Originally from the Midwest, I now live in Houston, Texas. Some fun facts about me: I grew up with a big family, shaved my head for a liberating experience, took my first solo flight at 16, and I'm fascinated by psychology. Lauren Norvell, Founder & Floral Designer

Lauren is an amazing florist to work with for all your events. The name Bring Joy is very well chosen, because she truly upholds that promise and that’s exactly what she brought to our wedding day and during the entire process of planning. You will find that she is very creative, skillful, professional AND accommodating to your needs and vision. Anytime I am in need of floral arrangements this is the place where I will go

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Texas City, TX

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Jen was AMAZING to work with! When it came to flowers for my wedding, I had NO IDEA what I wanted. She was very patient with me and helped talk me through my vision. She gave me flowers to pick from, talked about how big I wanted my bouquet and how much greenery I wanted, and then when I could find colors I liked in swatches, she color-matched the colors I wanted from an inspo pic I found online! She was very professional and patient with me, even when my plans changed or I needed to add to my order.  I am not the best at putting together a bouquet. I am also someone who likes control, especially when it came to planning my wedding. I was thankful that I was able to give Jen the reins, tell her what I wanted, and watch her make my dreams come true. When I first saw my flowers, I was speechless. She truly did make my floral dreams come true, and now I get to keep my bouquet for the rest of my life! A wooden flower bouquet from Jen is the way to go!

As my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we joked that our loose theme would be “flowers and love.” We knew we wanted lots of beautiful, lush florals as the primary decor focus, and also knew we didn’t want to spend the many thousands of dollars to achieve that look with a standard florist. If you’re in the same boat, and have an appetite for some DIYing, I’d STRONGLY recommend working with Bloom Culture. After some Googling for DIY wedding florals, I came across Bloom Culture and spoke with Allison for a custom consultation. During the call, Allison helped me express the type of floral look we were going for, and built out a custom floral package that would achieve it. She also laid out the delivery and prep process, and we landed on a final package and timeline for delivery. We received a LARGE box of flowers the week before the wedding and were immediately pleased with the quantity and quality of flowers we had received. Allison’s guide mentioned that some crushed or damaged blooms would be completely normal, but everything was so well packaged we didn’t notice more than a few damaged stems. From there, the DIYing began. Between unpacking, trimming, de-thorning, trimming again, building bouquets, arrangements, boutonnieres, etc, etc, it was a LOT of work. However, we referenced Allison’s guides (written, video tutorials) religiously and they laid out everything perfectly. She strongly recommends having plenty of assistants -- pay attention to this advice! Find a few trusted friends or family members who have time and artistic ability and it will make all the difference in your stress levels. The flowers all lasted beautifully for the wedding and we received so many compliments on how they looked. Allison - thank you for everything!

FLOR Y AMOR DESIGNS

4.8

  • Starts at $500
  • Serves Texas City, TX

Flor y Amor is a full-service wedding + event design team based out of South Texas. From our designers to our incredible wholesalers, the amount of love and thought put into the final product is why it feels more like a lifestyle than a job. From minimalist decor to luxurious installations, the vision is up to you, and bringing it to life is on us. We hope you enjoy all we have to offer and share the experience with others.

I absolutely loved the finished product for my wedding! My bouquet and flower crown were so beautiful and I was complimented on them all night! They made me feel like a princess and I am so grateful for her work. There was a hiccup with the communication prior. There was limited communication and weeks would go by without hearing a response to questions. The biggest thing was not having any information for pickup or finalization of the design for the items the day before my wedding which was very nerve wrecking. I’m glad it all came together in the end and her work is beautiful. If communication is improved I would highly recommend.

Katie was a breeze to work with! I am not big on real flowers and wanted something that would represent my husband and I. Her prices are comparable to real flowers and are even more lovely! I love that her flower designs mimic real flowers and that foliage was an option. She took the care to make sure I had what I wanted and sent me multiple pictures during the process and of the finished result before we picked them up for the wedding. She accepted my feedback and made changes to the bouquets to match my vision. I still have my bouquet and my husbands boutonniere as keepsakes that remind me of our special day. I would use her services again and again!

Having Maddie at Gollday Floral as my florist for my wedding was truly a highlight of my wedding. I had no clue what I wanted except for a vague color palette and Maddie made everything come together more than I could have ever dreamed! Not only were the flowers beautiful (I literally cried when I saw my bridal bouquet), but she was also SO easy to work with. Even though she's Houston based, my wedding was in a remote Colorado town and she made destination wedding flowers look like a breeze. She was a vendor I never had to worry about - easy to communicate with, and worked with my wedding coordinator which gave me one less thing to worry about. I could ramble on forever about her, can't recommend Golladay Floral enough!!

  • Serves Texas City, TX

We are a Bespoke Floral Design Studio, specializing in weddings, events & luxury design workshops. We strive for excellent service, personalized attention and our hope is that you enjoy all we have to offer and share the experience with others. We're all about the experience of flowers to meet all your design needs, in short YOU DESERVE ALL THE FLOWERS!!!

I was referred to Wildly Flowered from a good friend who had worked with them at non-wedding events. I loved Danielle’s floral style when I saw her photos and trusted her vision. We met and I provided the colors I liked and some inspo photos but I wanted her to chose the exact flowers and textures that she thought would work for my design and budget. I asked for a lot of dried flower elements because I loved the textures. She provided timely quotes and the system of contracting was easy via her website. I was blown away by the floral installation for my wedding and my otherworldly bouquet. People are still talking about it months later. The florals exuded joy which was my goal for my spring wedding. I couldn’t have been any happier.

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs Flower Preservation

5.0

  • Starts at $250
  • Serves Texas City, TX

Sarcasm & Sunshine Designs is comprised of two friends, turned business partners. We worked together for several years planning events and weddings, so we have a shared love of sparkle, flowers, coffee, and making beautiful memories! We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our growth as friends, mothers and confidants, than to combine our creativity and passions to create one of a kind items to brighten the days and lives of others. Our business, our products, and our partnership is all about balance, Contessa is the Sarcasm, Danielle is the Sunshine. Some days, we switch roles, but we think life is better with both!

Having my wedding flowers preserved was extremely important to me. To be able to keep something perfectly preserved that was so beautiful on my special day is unreal. Danielle is the kindest and easiest person to work with. She gets back to you within seconds and listens to any and every crazy request I had. Along with a tray, wine stopper, ornament, and book mark, Danielle was able to take part of my Mother’s wedding dress (that was wrapped around my bouquet) and preserve it in a jewelry box with my flowers. Let me tell you, the reaction my mom had on her face when I gave her that jewelry box was indescribable. If you are ever second guessing preserving your wedding flowers, this is your sign to do it. You won’t regret it! Sarcasm and Sunshine’s work is impeccable and I hope that others are able to have their flowers preserved with such care and precision as I was able to have mine.
