We are a boutique floral design studio with studios in Greenville SC ,St. Simons Island GA & Athens GA! We love to design locally and all across the country! Maria is a UGA grad and began her floral design business in Charleston SC. We have a passionate commitment to creating your unforgettable event through floral design. We find the perfect floral selections and color palette and bring your dream to life through our creative expression. Our aesthetic is a classic, elegant and romantic yet modern. We only design one wedding per week, so your wedding is our top priority!

What sets Maria's floral designs apart is not only our amazing flowers, but our commitment to exemplary communication with our clients. In addition to being a floral designer, she still has an ongoing interior design business. Maria is hands on and personally designs each wedding! We pride ourselves on our open communication and our ability to put our clients at ease. We listen to what you want and to what your budget is. We are flexible and always willing to do extra for the special people that hire Maria Schendzelos Design.

    Maria is a true gem!!

    Maria exceeded all/any expectations that we had for flowers! She was so lovely to work with, kept our traditional/classic wedding style in mind, and was so calm and communicative throughout the whole process. We loved her so much that she did the flowers for the bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, wedding, and now my sister's wedding! She is incredibly talented and I want to have another event just to have a reason to hire her again!

    An outstanding wedding florist!

    Maria did a wonderful job with the flowers for our wedding! Her creativity and artistry are truly outstanding. She was very helpful during our first consultation, and she really helped us figure out a good balance of types of flowers and a design that would stay within our budget. Maria’s execution and delivery on the day of our wedding was flawless. She brings a warmth and personal touch to every aspect of her service. We would highly recommend Maria!

    Beautiful!

    The flowers at my daughter's wedding were exquisite from the table arrangements to the bouquets and the arch. The designs were exactly what my daughter wanted and I could not have expected any better! Well worth it. I highly recommend Maria for any event you plan with flowers.

    Maria, owner of Maria Schendzelos Designs, is not only an extremely talented designer but is also a dream to work with. She makes sure every need is catered to, whether it comes down to florals, rentals, timelines and so on, she always makes sure her bases are covered before, during and after the event.     Design Goddess

    From start to finish, Maira made our daughters vision come to fruition on her wedding day. Maria listened intently to our needs and logistics for our day. We had several locations and all deliveries and floral arrangements were timed perfectly. We felt like Maria was our new best friend! We will, for sure, use Maria for our future floral needs.

Initial consultations usually last 45 minutes to one hour. Consultations may be done in person, phone, Zoom or FaceTime. Please come prepared with details about your wedding like your budget, style and any inspiration you have for your wedding flowers. Our Service area is literally the entire country! - We cover St. Simons Island GA area, Jacksonville, Amelia/Fernandina, Savannah, SC Low Country, Charleston, Athens and anywhere else! We are available for travel/destination weddings also, ANY DESTINTATION- WE LOVE TO TRAVEL!!!
Yes! After the contract is signed, we can provide one mockup, typically a table centerpiece(s) for a nominal fee.
Yes, we offer breakdown services along with delivery, set up, and flower transfer from the ceremony to the reception. These items and the costs are specified on your proposal.
It’s never too early to get in touch about your wedding, but we recommend having a few details figured out before you do. For example: Have you selected the location for your ceremony and/or reception? What’s your wedding style? Do you know how many guests you’ll be expecting? Typically, our couples reach out around 6 to 12 months before their big day.
During your consultation, we will go over all the gorgeous in-season floral offerings available for your wedding date. We love supporting local growers and regional flowers and greenery!
