“Amanda, our event manager, was EVERYTHING. Her quick email responses, evening appointment accommodations, and ability to pull ideas straight out of my brain and onto paper were unreal. When I fell in love with BOB, I basically fell in love with Amanda’s energy and commitment to making my dream come true. I could not sleep that night after visiting and I knew in my gut it was THE venue. I have come to realize that BOB has a special structure set up. Your event manager is like your personal assistant. You are doing the planning but their knowledge is top tier! Amanda helped us think through enhancements and whether we actually needed them (spoiler: NO). But we did our own cookie bar and that was a HIT with our guests- it added a special touch for OUR families. The timing, the details, the paperwork, the info — literally everything from Amanda was flawless. When I was told 6 months in advance EVERYTHING I would need to turn in 3 weeks before, it gave my brain time to organize and plan out those 6 months. (pics from friends) I wish I had been encouraged more strongly to rethink the first‑dance location. I didn’t realize people would be sitting (not standing on the first floor) until our last meeting and it was too late to change our dance. With 165 people, taking photos at the tables was chaotic. Thank goodness our photographer spoke up and we changed our plan to be a QUICK pic not picture and chat! Again, with 165 people, the big group dance‑floor photo was a hot mess so rethink if you have a big group.. I didn’t think about 120 people needing to go down steps right after being served food. Some plates got taken eek! The other thing- when you get the DJ, make sure they talk with the venue- It is 2 floors, sound and announcements NEED to be heard upstairs. I have no idea what happened with ours so just FYI! Back to all the good stuff- I barely ate anything and people warned me of that. TAKE THE TIME to go alone to the house- simply to get your cocktail apps! FYI the guests were literally stalking the tent opening for the mushrooms and sesame chicken apps to leave the kitchen. Clearly they loved them. People are STILL texting us about the beef (pesto steak that Amanda told me to have). Everyone LOVED our blood orange margs and bourbon apple cider. The pretzel cheese was a HIT. Pick one late night snack because people were glad to have carbs. We LOVED having our table off to the side a bit- it felt private and comfortable. I highly recommend that setup. On 2/6/26, walking in and seeing everything come together felt like a dream. So many HAPPY tears because it was just so US! The lighting was perfect — bright enough to see, not too dark. BRING glow sticks! Everyone loved them! Our Day of Coordinator was unbelievable. She was everywhere I needed her to be. Our DoC made things come to life- she even got my shoes for me from the house. Guests raved about the staff. I wish I had talked to the staff more — the night flew by. Our waitress (Misty? Kristy?) was simply the best. She kept appearing to check on us and made us feel so special. I was nervous about being the center of attention all day, but it never felt overwhelming. The get ready house was perfect to throw everything and have that space to keep things until we left. I cannot say enough about Barn on Bridge- Amanda, Brianna, and Lily- thank you for making our day spectacular. I need someone I know to pick BOB so I can experience it from the other side.”

“We are so grateful to the entire team at Melhorn Manor for making our wedding day happen!! It's hard to even know where to begin - from start to finish, every detail of the day was magical thanks to the team's hard work and expertise. When my fiancé and I started the wedding planning process, we toured plenty of venues, but we knew right away that Melhorn Manor was different in the best way. We were used to being rushed through other venue tours, dismissed because our wedding wasn't big enough, and generally being made to feel more like dollar signs than excited newlyweds-to-be. But our experience at Melhorn Manor couldn't have been further from this - we met Allory for the tour, and before we took a step through the property, he took the time to introduce himself and the Melhorn family and to share the lovely story of how Melhorn Manor came about. We didn't feel rushed or pressured like we had at other venues, and Allory really took the time to understand our vision for our big day and help us imagine it around the property. We left that day glowing and feeling sure that "this is the one!" And how right we were!! We really can't say enough positive things about our wedding day. Getting ready in the amazing bridal suite and Groom's room was such a fun and special way to kick off the day. As the ceremony approached, it was so clear that the team was all working so hard to make sure all the decor was set up, every detail was thought through, and every moment went off without a hitch. What a special and humbling feeling it is to have so many people invested in making your special day as magical and memorable as you've always hoped it would be - it's impossible to express the depth of our gratitude. Our wedding day was quite a rainy one, but the Melhorn team had a plan for everything. Melhorn Manor had the most robust rain plan of any venue we toured: some venues' plans had felt more like an afterthought, while Melhorn offers an entirely separate building that can be used for the ceremony in inclement weather. It was such a huge relief to feel like we didn't have to worry about adjusting every detail on the fly, and to go into our rainy wedding day knowing that, regardless of the weather, it would be just as beautiful and special as we always imagined. We had and continue to have SO many of our guests, both on the wedding night and afterwards, tell us that this was the best wedding they have ever been to. So many glowing comments about the beautiful venue, the fun had on the dance floor, the amazing and kind staff, and all of the countless details that go into making the day memorable. We couldn't agree more that Melhorn Manor was the perfect backdrop for our special day, and we have the incredible team to thank for all the hard work, attention to detail, and love that went into making this the wedding of our dreams. We, and our families and loved ones, will truly cherish the memory of this day for a lifetime. We are so grateful to have had the absolute joy of working with Allory, Jess, and the entire Melhorn Manor team. They were enthusiastic, thoughtful, kind, and so organized at every step of the way. We can't imagine what our special day would have looked like anywhere other than Melhorn Manor - what an amazing place that will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We simply can't thank the entire staff enough!!”

“Where do I even begin?? The Drumore Mill is an oasis. Surrounded by farm land and nestled in a dark green wood, it feels like you’ve entered into a fairytale land. The moment my fiancé (now husband!) and I stepped onto the Drumore Mill property, we knew we needed to exchange our vows here. We got married in the Grist Mill beside the waterfall. I always wanted an indoor/outdoor wedding but hated the idea of a tent wedding. The Grist Mill building is an open air but covered area with tall wooden beams and lots of open windows to allow sunlight in. Thuy was a pleasure to work with throughout my long engagement. She answered all my questions and even showed up the day of my wedding to wash windows at the reception barn! You can tell she really cares about the Drumore Mill. Look, there are a lot of places you can get married. But the Drumore Mill is special because you can return to it. They have charming rustic houses on property you can stay in. You can host a family reunion or a smaller vow renewal ceremony or just go on an anniversary trip there. How many other couples do you know who can stay the night at the place they got married? Because that’s what my husband and I did. We spent our wedding night on property, steps away from where we exchanged vows. We got to wake up the next morning and walk the beautiful grounds of the Drumore Mill taking in all the scenery and relive the memories from the day prior. One of our guests approached my husband during the wedding and said “I want my daughters to get married here”. You can’t get a better compliment than that! So in short, if you’re looking for a one of a kind place, where nature and architecture blend together, and you can return there to reminisce with loved ones—then consider the Drumore Mill. See for yourself what beauty I’m talking about. Because I know my husband and I can’t wait to go back!”

“The Drexelbrook did an excellent job hosting our baby shower. Their buffet and dessert bar options were delicious and plentiful. They took good care of our guests who needed vegan, gluten-free options or a kid's meal. One of the highlights of our celebration was a "make your own bouquet" bar for guests. It was an option that Drexelbrook suggested, based on our shower theme. They worked with us to ensure that we could decorate and arrange the space to meet the needs of our event. “If you were on the fence about having your wedding at the Ballroom At Ellis preserve, or honestly at any of the Finley catering venues, DO IT IF YOU POSSIBLY CAN. As a generally detail oriented and type A person, I cannot fully express how exceptional the entire planning and day of process was with Finley. We worked closely with Meagan who was extremely responsive and helpful the entire time. As a bride, on the day of the wedding neither I nor my family had to think about a single detail – Finley handled it all. Savannah was our maître d’ for the day of the wedding and she was exceptional and made sure we were where we needed to be, when we needed to be there. Numerous people have told me that they have never been to such an incredible wedding and that everything flowed perfectly well and took the perfect amount of time. We didn’t even need to hire an outside planner or day of coordinator. And everything was perfect. This particularly blessed me because my husband and I had a six month engagement. We got engaged on January 30 and married on August 16. Planning the wedding in this short amount of time was made easy because of the expertise of Finley. Finley worked with us to ensure that we had all of the details we wanted for the day of, and also went above and beyond to make the planning process stress-free. I was particularly grateful that we did not have to bring in outside rentals – linens, China, silverware, tables and chairs, etc. was all done through Finley and it streamlined everything. It was so nice to just have to talk to one person instead of coordinating with numerous vendors. Megan also had great recommendations for other vendors! And I have to say - the food was AMAZING. We still have people raving about the food from our wedding, especially the insane cocktail hour display. Our dinner service was perfect, professional, and delicious. The venue itself was beautiful and beyond my dreams. It has all of the tradition of a historic building, with modern amenities and capacity for 200 people. The entire space is perfect and clean. Elegant and beautiful. The bridal suite’s size and the bridal attendants made the getting ready process seamless and kept the space calm and organized. I also appreciated how straightforward and transparent Finley was with their pricing and all that it included. Deeply refreshing to see from anyone in the wedding industry. I am a fan of Finley for life, the ballroom at ellis preserve was beyond my wildest dreams, and I am so grateful for their work to truly make the day the best of our lives.”

“When I set out to plan our wedding, there were two things my husband and I knew we absolutely needed: a venue that had “character” all on its own, and food that was “top-notch” while still being allergy-friendly. So, I logged onto Facebook and started joining every bridal group I could find. I was looking for something VERY SPECIFIC, a gem, a place that had everything I was envisioning. Honestly, I didn’t think it existed. And then came The Ivy at Ellis Preserve by Finley Catering. What I thought didn’t exist suddenly became a reality. My husband and I visited The Ivy just one month after it opened, and we instantly fell in love. That was it. The search was over. Just as quickly as we fell in love with each other, we fell in love with the venue. From start to finish, Meg was responsive, caring, attentive, and professional. She understood that my husband and I have serious food allergies and never made us feel like our needs were an inconvenience or an afterthought. Meg, our event coordinator, and her husband, Mike, our maître d, went above and beyond to make our wedding day incredibly special. Most people say their wedding day “flashed before their eyes,” but for me, that was never the case. Every moment felt like my husband and I were spinning together inside a snow globe, dancing while the entire world settled around us. And I truly believe that feeling was possible because of how well the entire team took care of us. The staff were INCREDIBLE. Every single person we encountered was kind, helpful, attentive, and professional. It’s been just shy of three weeks since our wedding, and our guests are STILL raving about the cocktail hour and dinner. MANY of them have told us it was, by far, the best cocktail hour they have ever experienced. And the best part? We didn’t even select any of the food upgrades! But what meant the most to my husband and me was that we didn’t just have to hear about how amazing the food was from our guests; we got to experience it ourselves. Meg and Mike took our allergies seriously and went above and beyond to make modifications so we could safely enjoy our wedding meal alongside everyone else. They made us feel like our allergies didn’t make us “different.” We were able to sit down, eat, celebrate, and enjoy our reception just like every other couple. That meant EVERYTHING to us. I cannot stop raving about Finley Catering and their newest venue, The Ivy at Ellis Preserve and clearly, neither can our guests! Throughout the entire planning process, I talked endlessly about how beautiful the venue is. It is SO elegant and beautiful on its own that it truly doesn’t need much. In fact, I DIY’d about 95% of my wedding, and I would tell every future couple the same thing: you don’t have to go all out. Keep it simple. Let the architecture, character, and elegance of The Ivy speak for you. The “bones” of this venue are absolutely beautiful, and they create the perfect canvas for whatever vision you have. Meg and Mike, thank you SOOOOO much for everything you did for us. Thank you for listening, caring, accommodating, anticipating our needs, and making us feel so incredibly special from the moment we walked through The Ivy’s doors to the moment our wedding day ended. We will forever be grateful that we found our “gem” and that we got to celebrate the beginning of our marriage there. ️ The Ivy at Ellis Preserve will always hold such a special place in our hearts.”

“"We had our ceremony and reception at The Ardmore Music Hall July 2017 and would choose it all over again! Our guests rave to us still that it was the coolest and best wedding they have ever attended. We are owners of a party band that perform at reception venues all over the tri-state area and we chose AMH because we wanted to marry on stage in a fun, relaxed, and unique environment. The staff could not have been more service-oriented from preplanning meetings up to and including servicing the guests. We have many compliments for the manager Sara for allowing us to decorate as we wanted, making "themed cocktail drinks", coordinating the rest of the very friendly staff and for going above and beyond etc.. We had many bands play throughout the evening and all of the musicians were impressed with the sound crew at AMH, they were absolutely perfectionists with the sound and lighting! Most compliments that we received were that it was such a warm, cool vibe, filled with love throughout the event....exactly what we hoped for. "”

“Choosing Appleford for our wedding was hands down one of the best choices we made in wedding planning. From the first tour Lisa made the experience as easy and stress free as possible. Their recommended vendors and partnered caters were great, and the open houses they held made selection smooth and gave us peace of mind knowing we were making informed decisions. One reason we loved Appleford was knowing they had a good rain plan - unfortunately, we did have to use this rain plan for some of our day so we were so incredibly grateful that the inside of the estate was stunning and ready for indoor use when the time came. The onsite coordinator was helpful in every respect and helped with everything including wardrobe malfunctions for the mother of the bride (helping to sew her dress when it was needed)! Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was which was obvious from the moment you step on the property. We cannot recommend Appleford enough and are so incredibly grateful that we chose them for our wedding day!”

“We cannot thank Jamie and Kathy enough for making our vow renewal so special. The whole day felt like it was straight out of a movie. From the very beginning of planning, they were clear, organized, and thoughtful. Every detail was seamless, from being transparent about pricing from the start to the end of brunch when one of our friends arrived late and their team made him a breakfast sandwich so he would still have something to eat. That kind of care did not go unnoticed. From the moment we walked into the hotel and the front desk greeted us with such warmth, I felt so welcomed I actually cried. The little touches like apples and water for guests, the amazing bartenders on our first night at the cafe bar and at our event in the Montrose Mansion, the care their team took with the gift bags, and making sure everyone fit comfortably into the venue all meant so much. And the food… it was impeccable. Both dinner and brunch were better than anything we could have dreamed up. It is a huge testament to their organization and communication skills that we were able to plan the entire event from California without worry. There are no words to describe how thankful we are. Jamie, Kathy, and the team at the Inn at Villanova made our weekend unforgettable, and we feel so lucky to have worked with them. Tristan & Sean”
