Built in 1894 and thoughtfully renovated for public use in 2005, the mansion features wood-paneled interiors, sweeping verandas, and formal gardens—perfect for weddings and special events of up to 135 guests.     The Perfect Place

    We toured 18 venues to pick just the right spot for our wedding. We were looking for somewhere that had a character of its own and a flow through the space that would allow people to eat, dance, and celebrate in a continuous flow throughout the night. Hilltop House was the ideal spot. We worked with Samantha at Perfect Settings Catering, their private catering service. Samantha ran the flow of the night seamlessly. When we chose Hilltop House we got so much more than just a venue. We have since recommended Hilltop House to friends and family!

    Perfect Wedding

    We celebrated our daughter's wedding last weekend, it was an amazing day. Food and service by Perfect Setting Catering was amazing. Food was delicious and very well served. I want to give a special Thank you to Sydney Kuhn, she made the event a perfect one. She always made my daughter and her now husband feel very special. She had every little detail under control since the beginning of the planning and until the last minute. Sydney was always happy to help and excited about the event. You can truly see that she loves her job. I would highly recommend her and Perfect Setting for any event.

    Hilltop House Devon

    I would absolutely recommend Hilltop House to any couple looking to get married. They were extremely flexible, helpful, attentive, and kind. The venue is gorgeous, especially when they hung up all the lights on the back porch. We had our ceremony in the front garden which was beautiful. There is more than enough parking in the parking lot right next door, and more at the playground on the opposite side of the venue. Our wedding day was nothing less than perfect and the Hilltop House staff was a big part in making that happen.

The house can accommodate up to 130 guests in total. Our largest indoor spaces can comfortably seat up to 80 guests together, with additional adjacent rooms available for overflow seating. For a fully outdoor experience, all 130 guests can be seated outside on the driveway and covered veranda—perfect for an alfresco dining setting.
The Box Garden can accommodate ceremonies of up to 200 guests. Indoor ceremonies may be held for up to 80 guests. The covered veranda provides a more intimate setting, comfortably hosting ceremonies for up to 60 guests. The Hilltop Driveway can accommodate ceremonies of up to 100 guests. The Sycamore tree offers a beautiful natural setting for ceremonies with up to 70 guests.
Outside catering is not permitted. Perfect Setting Catering is the exclusive catering partner, and you will work directly with Sydney, the Sales & Event Planner, who will guide you through every step—from your initial tour all the way through your event day.
We offer three suites located on the second floor. Clients are granted access beginning two hours prior to the event start time. The spaces include a bridal suite, family suite, and groom’s room. All three are connected by interior doors and can be opened up or closed off based on your preference.
The Box Garden is available for ceremonies and lawn games, offering a beautiful and versatile outdoor space. The patio provides a great area to begin cocktail hour. The sunrooms offer a unique indoor-outdoor feel and are home to our lush plant collections. The covered veranda, with its classic brick detailing, is ideal for cocktail hour or reception dining with truly stunning views. The driveway and surrounding rolling greens are also available for use and provide a perfectly picturesque backdrop for photos.
All rooms and floors are equipped with air conditioning and heating to ensure a comfortable environment for your guests year-round.
We provide all tables and up to 130 reception chairs. For on-site ceremonies with guest counts over 65, an additional set of ceremony chairs will need to be rented. We host only one event per day, so depending on your catering timeline, you will have ample access to the house and grounds.

Yes! Perfect Setting Catering offers a BYO bar—you provide the alcohol, and we take care of the rest. We provide professional bartenders, tables, linens, ice, non-alcoholic mixers, juices, sodas, and garnishes. We’re also happy to assist with creating your alcohol shopping list and crafting custom specialty drinks to fit your event.
Guests may park in the Hilltop House lot, the Township Building lot, the playground lot, or the elementary school lot. For shuttle transportation, drop-off and pick-up should take place on the Township Building side, as it provides more space for turning and easier access.
Due to the historic nature of the home—originally built in the 1700s with additions over time—there are a few areas that require navigating a single step up or down. That said, there is generally good, level access to the foyer, great room, and throughout the great hall. Guests with mobility needs may require some assistance when accessing the sunrooms or the veranda.
