In the end it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding!
The Lake House Inn turned out to be the right choice for our wedding day, even though getting there took some work. While the venue advertises planning services, we learned that their “planner” is really more of a day-of coordinator, with limited interest in helping with the details and logistics leading up to the wedding. This was one of the most frustrating parts of our experience. Initially, our assigned coordinator often made us feel as though we were being difficult for asking questions or requesting help. Emails frequently went unanswered, including time-sensitive ones, and she made it clear that she was only allotted 10 hours of work prior to our wedding, which she cited as the reason she couldn’t provide more assistance. We also felt that she was more focused on running our wedding the way the venue typically runs events rather than working with us to determine what would best suit our needs. As a result, we ultimately had to hire our own wedding planner to help us navigate the process, ensure important details weren't overlooked, and advocate for us when we weren't receiving the support we needed from the venue's advertised “planner.” Thankfully, things improved significantly about three weeks before the wedding, when the manager stepped in and helped turn things around. On the actual day, the staff was incredible. It was raining on our wedding day, but the venue had a wonderful indoor ceremony option that allowed us to move the ceremony inside without sacrificing the charm or atmosphere of the space. The transition worked beautifully, and we were grateful to have such a lovely alternative to our planned outdoor ceremony. Erica, our catering captain, was wonderful, and the team consistently checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Marina, the InnKeeper, went above and beyond by taking extra photos throughout the night and sending us beautiful, intimate moments we would have otherwise missed. The venue itself is charming, clean, and has such a warm feel. Ultimately, we couldn't be happier with how everything came together on our wedding day. The Lake House Inn was a beautiful setting for our wedding, and the staff working the event helped make the day special. My biggest recommendation for couples considering this venue is to clarify exactly what the planning services include and be prepared to arrange additional planning support if you need substantial help in the months leading up to your wedding.

Timeless elegance by the water
Our ceremony with the lake sparkling behind us was romantic beyond words. The ballroom provided a sophisticated setting for dinner and dancing, and the late-night fire pits kept everyone smiling. The entire team made planning and the day itself seamless and joyful.
