The pre-planning was easy through the vibo app and meetings with drew in which he took the time to understand our setup, ensuring everything he needed was in order, and how we wanted everything to flow in advance. Drew was masterful at keeping the party going in a way that matched our vibe (and was far from some of the cheesier party DJs out there). He helped all our different events throughout the evening flow well, including the ceremony audio setup, our intro and first dance, speeches, and all the specific party requests following. He was super personable and authentic, handling the job of MC expertly and catering to our tastes extremely well. We had quite a variety of genres we wanted to represent throughout the evening (oldies, indie/alternative, 90s throwback, eurodance, city pop, rap, traditional dances, Turkish, Latin, etc.) and he wove them all together seamlessly. He even added in some surprises for us that we really enjoyed (and can't wait to see photos of)! Many of us ended the night in the pool and he even kept the party going through that to the sounds of Queen and the Strokes. He even orchestrated and filmed a group dive into the pool. “Mike was great! He was very responsive prior to our wedding and really helped the flow of the evening. Our venue was not turning down any of the lights during the transition into dancing, and Mike took over and made sure the ambience was what we wanted. Also, our photographer disappeared when we went to cut the cake, and Mike left the booth and went and found him for us. While some of our other vendors let us down, Mike really came through for us. He also was very accommodating in allowing us to create a large playlist. While he is new to Zola, his execution and professionalism shows years of experience. 10/10!”

There were several people who had never been to a wedding with a live band and we were SHOWERED with compliments the whole time. We had a sax player during cocktail hour who was fantastic and everyone raved about. All the band members were also extremely kind, and before the reception, one of the singers noticed us practicing our first dance and even offered to sing while we practiced so we could make sure our choreography was fine. Bradley was great to work with as well and the entire band set up was very smooth and timely. They made our wedding incredible! “Jorge from Sound Event DJs played at 2 of our son’s weddings and was absolutely fantastic, and we were fortunate to get him for my husband’s 70th birthday party. It’s now been a week, and our guests are still talking about the great music and DJ. Although we had chosen songs to play on Sound Event DJ’s easy planning website, only a good DJ knows which ones to actually play and when to play them. Jorge totally read the crowd, understood their culture (mainly Caribbean) and knew the timing…when to play the fast songs and slow ones, and when to mix them up to keep everyone on the dance floor. “Philip and Good Musicians were truly incredible for our wedding! They provided the string duo for our ceremony, the guitarist during cocktail hour, and a 7 piece band including a male and female singer. Our guests even commented how good the guitarist was during cocktail hour! They played a wide variety of music including Spanish music, classics, country, alternative, pop etc., and nailed every song! They also did the Hora for us as well. The singers (male singer-Philip is the band manager) and the female singer sounded amazing live! The band and the DJ during the band breaks kept the energy alive all night. Philip was super responsive, even up until the day before the wedding when we made a few minor changes to song choices. We are so grateful we could have them for our wedding. For reference, we got married at The Addison in Boca Raton Florida in September 2024 in the main dining room.”
