We got married at Mercantile Hall on 11/2/2024, and it was an absolute dream! The coordinator packages are worth every penny—Stephanie stepped in during the final weeks and went above and beyond, she and the staff even brought drinks to the head table and our parents during dinner. The in-house services are so convenient, and the new getting-ready suite is gorgeous and perfect for a relaxing morning. The entire team was incredible throughout our two-year planning process—fun, professional, and detail-oriented. Every vendor had told us how amazing they are to work with, and they see why as they executed our day flawlessly. The venue is stunning, spacious yet intimate, and our guests haven’t stopped complimenting it. Merc. Sound handled our DJ, and Nate was fantastic! **Bonus for pet parents: Merc is pet-friendly, and our pups were so welcomed, making the day extra special. We actually added a welcome dinner and farewell brunch because it was more affordable than comparable venues we viewed. It was wonderful for our guests because they could stay right there at the hotel and also enjoy time on the beach. All staff we encountered were kind, helpful and professional. Kellie helped organize the vendors and helped us get everything set up. In addition, the reception space in the ballroom has a beautiful view of the lake. The food for all three of our events was delicious. Our suite was clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this venue if you want a beautiful beach wedding at an affordable price that is convenient for out of town guests.

The space itself is breathtaking—historic architecture, stained glass, and vaulted ceilings that give the entire event a sense of timeless elegance. It’s rare to find a venue that feels both grand and intimate, but Dresden Castle strikes that balance beautifully. The garden area was especially memorable for photos and quiet moments between the ceremony and reception. From what I observed and heard throughout the planning process, Jason and Alex were outstanding partners. They were responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day seamless. Their flexibility with vendors, clear communication, and calm presence during setup made a huge difference. They anticipated needs before they became issues and handled last-minute adjustments with grace. The amenities were modern and well-maintained—sound system, WiFi, private rooms for the wedding party, and a layout that flowed naturally from ceremony to celebration. The staff were professional and courteous, and the bartenders kept everything moving smoothly without ever feeling rushed. As a guest, I was impressed. As someone who saw the behind-the-scenes effort, I was even more so. • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Space for a large guest list

Venue considerations

  • Requires outside catering services
  • Does not allow pets
  • Venue feels large for events with small guest lists
We couldn't have picked a more beautiful, open and perfect venue than the Factory on Barclay. We got married 5/13 and people are still messaging me about how stunning the venue was. Sarah was amazing every step of the way from letting us tour multiple times with different family members, owning set up of our day and tear down. We didn't have to worry about a thing besides having our day. The rest of the staff day-of was absolutely awesome as well. Alcohol is provided. Bartenders were awesome and dealt with the party atmosphere of our wedding really well. We had a little scheduling issue where, surprisingly, we were ahead of schedule and Sarah got all vendors to move things ahead 30 mins. You get so much for your money as well. The space itself is massive and makes the day flow really easily. We did everything on-site, (getting ready, pics, ceremony and reception) and it was the perfect space. Getting ready suites are huge and a big plus. Recommended vendors usually sway people in the opposite direction because you have a smaller list of caterers to chose from, but it's evident that the staff at the Factory and Sarah have taken the time to curate a list of vendors that make a lot of sense for all different budgets and different experiences. We wouldn't do a thing differently regarding our venue search. Truly was the most beautiful day. Will add pictures once we get our formal pics from our photographer!

We had our wedding 6/15/24 at the blue stem farms and events. When I say this venue is breathtaking, it has everything you’re looking for in a rustic style barn. From the beautiful property to the barn this will make your wedding day even more special. Have to give a huge shot out to Kelly the owner, she is the sweetest lady you will meet. She made sure during the whole planning process to be by our sides. If you need to speak to her, she’s right there for you. On our wedding day she made sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot think of one thing that went wrong. She did a fabulous job ensuring everything was set up properly with the vendors. Highly recommend!

The Riviera Ballroom was an excellent choice for our wedding venue. From the moment we first reached out, their communication was responsive, timely, and very well-managed. The space itself was absolutely beautiful - stately and elegant, providing the perfect setting for our intimate ceremony and dinner. Our guests raved about the intimate ceremony space and the lovely dinner area, which allowed for great conversation throughout the evening. As the bride, I wish there had been a private space for me to get ready and wait before the ceremony, as the guests were able to see me beforehand. Additionally, some of our guests mentioned that parking was a bit tricky. Overall though, the Riviera Ballroom exceeded our expectations and made our special day truly memorable.

It was very challenging for us to find a wedding reception venue that fully met our cultural needs with outside catering capabilities and guest capacity. We searched all over Milwaukee and the options were quite limited. We decided to reach out to Harley Davidson and started working with Dave Larson (Event coordinator). We couldn't have gotten paired up with a better person. He took time out of his busy days to meet with us multiple times in getting everything right and fine tuning the details. Our wedding reception was more than we imagined. We can't thank Dave enough for all his hard work. We also wanted to thank Rohan who helped put everything together the day of, as well as the rest of the staff. We would recommend Harley Davidson downtown Milwaukee to anyone no matter how large or small the event. Thank you for the fantastic customer service!!! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our special day with the people that mean the most to us.

Lake Forest, IL

The house, known today as Reid Hall, was completed in 1908 and the family moved in on May 5, led by J. Ogden Armour, until approximately September of 1927. Many of the house’s mantle pieces, there are 15, and the paneling of the library reading room (or former living room), were imported from Paris, Vienna and London, including the marble dining room while the main walls are of Italian marble, the central panels of each wall have been painted over the plaster to simulate actual marble. It is also reputed that the marble staircase was built with the primary purpose in mind that their daughter, Lolita Ogden Armour, would descend the curving stairway on her wedding day, which she did in 1921, to John J. Mitchell, Jr. Eventually the property was sold to Lake Forest Academy where classes began in 1948. Today, Academy grounds total approximately 170 acres.

Where do I begin?! We had our ceremony at the Doubletree Hilton and wanted a space for our reception close to the hotel, but without spending an arm and a leg. We booked The Box for our wedding reception in June and everything went perfectly. We were looking for a venue that was affordable and not over priced, no food/beverage minimum, minimal setup, timeless and beautiful, and that could accommodate our guest list of 75. The Box checked alllll of these boxes. I love that we were able to arrange the space how we envisioned and choose our own caterer (we used BelAir Cantina). Jamie worked with us to select a bar package that was extremely reasonable and fit our budget. We felt zero pressure during our meetings and Jamie assured me her team would make sure the space looked lovely, and she was right! We saved money on decor by using The Box’s candles and some lamps they provide, and we brought bud vases with flowers in for table decor. They had all the tables set and ready to go for my personal assistants to set up the little details (bud vases, signage, card box, etc). Both Jamie and Jaime were a delight to work with and made sure we felt comfortable and happy. They were both very responsive and answered all of my questions. I felt like they truly cared about helping to make our wedding day successful and that meant so much to us. There seemed to be plenty of street parking and I know a few guests utilized the parking garage kitty corner across the street with no issues. 10/10 would recommend The Box for a wedding reception or any event for that matter. This space has so much potential and they can help bring your vision to life. I am so happy we chose The Box to celebrate our marriage with our favorite people!! Also downtown Milwaukee and the riverwalk are within walking distance and are PERFECT for photos, even in the rain.

The University Club of Milwaukee and Tripoli Country Club merged in 2016. Today, there simply is no other club in the region that offers the same heritage, legacy of excellence, and breadth of experiences as The University Club of Milwaukee. Founded in 1898 by a group of 19 college alumni, The University Club's founding mission was to offer members a distinctive opportunity to network, share ideas, grow relationships, and engage in the issues of the day. This was a time of great hope and promise, and of progress and innovation. In 1921, entrepreneurial members of the Tripoli Temple in Milwaukee purchased land at what is now Good Hope Road and 43rd Street in Milwaukee and began a country club for the benefit of its members. Tripoli Country Club and its championship-caliber golf course attracted fine golfers, also serving as an oasis for members and their families. Now united by a common commitment to excellence, engagement, and a desire to positively impact the lives of our members.

I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone for a wedding! It was everything and more than what I imagined!

We want to pick a better place not only was it the most affordable venue in downtown but the location was right in the past district hotels right there breweries everything that we needed was right out our front door and the space and the owners were incredible. cannot wait to get our pics back from our photographer. They just opened in September but evidently they’re getting very booked and we were lucky enough to get in right away. Obviously nobody really booked the first three months but we have been planning for two years.
