A beautiful location for a wedding ceremony
We had a beautiful wedding at the botanical gardens in the rose garden! This is a wonderful location for a wedding ceremony and reasonably priced. We did not have our reception here so I can’t speak to that. It was easy to email, quick communication, professional, helped us understand our options. Be aware that Boerner hosts the China lights every fall, so if you’re getting married in August there are parts of the park that may be off limits, we knew this when we were booking but it may be helpful to know in advance for photography purposes. Also when you reserve the space, they don’t do anything to prevent non wedding goers in the area (can be a concern for wedding photos) and if you reserve the garden house, they are still open to the public even though you’ve reserved it. The website was a little confusing because you need to order chair rentals separately. The staff are really helpful and clear during the reservation process and we had a great tour to see the actual garden and discuss logistics. My husband was stressed on our actual wedding day because the staff he interacted with was argumentative about what rooms we had were reserved and it added undue stress to the day for him upon arriving. We had reserved a space to put things in during the ceremony and it wasn’t reserved by another staff member properly which created an internal communication issue. He arrived and asked to go to the room and the staff said we didn’t have that room reserved. He said, yes we do, we paid for it and the staff said no you didn’t. It may be helpful to check into things before arguing with a paying customer. We had in fact paid for the room and were able to use it and it created a delay. It was a misunderstanding on part of the staff member that day. We understand these mix ups happen, it was just the attitude of the staff conveying the message as we were trying to bring items for our ceremony in beforehand and the delay in time this additional hiccup caused for us. You can’t go wrong getting married at the gardens, the chairs were set up and everything else went off without a hitch, just make sure everything you reserve/do is in the system properly and all the staff know what’s happening on the wedding day to prevent issues.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, hosted by Zilli Hospitality. Everything about our celebration was perfect in every way! The Zilli team is top notch- every little detail was executed in an amazing way! I had nothing to worry about the day of, knowing we were in great hands of the staff. They truly are so skilled and we were amazed at the way everything ran so smoothly- they are truly pros. They pay attention to every little detail and made sure things were perfect! Staff are so kind and attentive and willing to go out of their way when they can! The food was absolutely delicious. People were raving! Shout out to our main coordinator, Yvette, she was our first point of contact and was just exceptional throughout the entire process from start to finish. Her energy, kindness, enthusiasm, and professionalism put me at ease. Also, huge thanks to Dana and Amanda. Zilli staff made our wedding a magical experience for us and all of our guests. Thank you!
