The Mansion at West Sayville is a gorgeous venue inside and out, and we’re so happy we chose it for our wedding. We loved the vibe from our first visit. It doesn't feel like a wedding factory, but being a Lessing's Venue you know they know what they are doing. Bob was down to earth, practical, and never tried to upsell us or pressure us into adding anything we didn’t need. Anytime I emailed Bob with a question, he responded within minutes and was always very on top of things. On the day of, everything about the wedding itself went so smoothly. Ann Marie the maitre d and Camille the bridal attendant were sweet, attentive, and so good at what they do. They set up our decor so beautifully and packed it away in an organized way at the end of the wedding. Ann Marie kept everything running smoothly, and Camille made sure we always had whatever we wanted, from food and bar drinks to our own pitcher of water when she noticed we were “the most hydrated couple she’d ever worked with” (lol). The bartender and all of our waitstaff were so attentive and wonderful too. The food was delicious and we got so many compliments about it, and about our venue in general. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable and The Mansion at West Sayville played a huge role in that!

I got married at the Riverview about 2 weeks ago and cannot begin to express how perfect it all was! The views and large windows in the ballroom were gorgeous on top of the landscaping of the grounds. It was EXTREMELY affordable compared to other venues we looked into, especially because we were coming from California to get married. We brought a few decor items of our own and the Riverview did the rest. They were so so easy to work with and we were so well taken care of the day of by our attendants (Tanya and Synsere!). It was the perfect day from start to finish and just felt easy and simple and we have gotten RAVE reviews from everyone who attended and so many compliments on the food, the service, and how lovely it all was. Cannot recommend enough!!

Saint Clements Castle provided a beautiful venue and kind staff for our wedding day. We especially appreciated our sales coordinator, Alyssa, who was professional, fast, and clear in her communication throughout the planning process. When rain forced us to move the ceremony indoors, the team quickly adapted the art gallery for us. The servers and bridal attendants were also attentive and went above and beyond to help finish set up when our florist left early. Our guests had incredibly kind things to say about the servers, and overall we had a great experience. It was also lovely to have a place that was a one stop shop for event planning! We did lose some decor in the shuffle which was an inconvenience, and some of the instructions for set up I left were not followed (our confetti got lost, only four guests got packets, the bridal suites did not have the supplies we left for them). My husband’s family were also really upset with one of the managers on property who wouldn’t allow them to walk in a covered area and was a bit rude about it, despite an event not happening and the rain being a torrential downpour causing unsafe conditions for his elderly family to walk in. Overall we had a great experience, and would recommend the castle to anyone planning a wedding!

We had such an amazing weekend at Camp Lenox - cannot thank the Rich, Leslie, and the rest of the staff enough. They made the weekend about as stress-free as we could have hoped - even despite the tornado warning on Saturday! Our guests had an amazing time from start to finish, and would not have been possible without lots of help. From putting together table arrangements, setting up campfires on 3 consecutive nights, making sure everyone got to their cabins and were settled in, having food prepared for 100 guests from Friday-Sunday, guiding hikes, coordinating all the vendors, supervising beer olympics, etc etc etc -- THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Pachaug Cottages was exactly what we were looking for, and our wedding day there was perfect. The team responded to emails quickly and answered all of our questions right away, which meant so much during the planning process. Since we didn't have a wedding planner, they stepped up and walked us through the rehearsal dinner, helped us decorate, and broke everything down at the end of the night. They also made sure all our vendors arrived and had what they needed, so we could focus on celebrating. The space itself has a beautiful and relaxing vibe that made our guests feel comfortable and happy. We can't thank the Pachaug Cottages team enough for being so accommodating and helpful from start to finish.

The venue itself was absolutely beautiful - there was no need to do anything crazy to decorate, as the space was so elegant and well-designed already. All of our decorations and centerpieces were dropped off ahead of time, and the staff arranged everything so beautifully. Our guests loved the open bar and the overall flow of the event. We recently had our wedding at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable day. The setting is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous waterfront backdrop that sets the tone for a romantic, coastal celebration. The Venue: The venue itself is the real star. The ceremony space overlooking the water is breathtaking, and our guests were wowed. The Royal Ballroom was elegant and clean, though it felt a bit tight for our 200-person guest count and had a small dance floor. The staff did a great job setting up. One of the biggest positives was their effort to keep our ceremony outside despite some tricky weather. Plan B changed multiple times throughout the day, but they were flexible and made a call two hours before—allowing us to have a lovely outdoor ceremony on the patio. The Coordination Team: This is where things fell short. The onsite wedding coordinators did their jobs but offered little more. They operate within a narrow set of rules, and most non-standard requests were met with a “no.” If you want anything custom, you’ll need to go to the head of sales. We strongly recommend hiring an independent wedding planner. The coordinators are not substitutes for a full-service planner and do not assist with day-of timelines. Don’t expect personalized guidance—you’ll need to advocate for yourself throughout. Tasting & Food: The tasting experience was one of the low points. The food was poorly executed, and it left us anxious. That said, the kitchen completely redeemed itself on the big day. The wedding food was delicious, well-presented, and received many compliments from our guests. We’re grateful they delivered when it mattered most. Pricing & Contracts: Expect extra charges for nearly everything. Review your contract closely—Water’s Edge adheres strictly to what’s written, even when verbal communication during planning differs. This added stress and confusion. Their team is extremely contract-focused, so nothing should be assumed unless it’s clearly in writing. Hotel & Room Block: The hotel is beautiful but expensive. Managing the room block was more difficult than anticipated, and we were quoted one rate, but our final contract reflected another. This required a lot of back-and-forth to sort out and added unnecessary friction to the planning process. Final Thoughts: Despite the challenges, we had a truly wonderful wedding day. The venue was stunning, our guests had an amazing time, and everything ran smoothly thanks to their structured operation. Water’s Edge is definitely a “wedding factory”—they’re efficient, but not especially flexible or tailored. If you go in with clear expectations, a strong outside planner, and a willingness to advocate for what you want, you can absolutely have the wedding of your dreams here. We’re grateful for the memories and happy with how everything turned out in the end.

Saybrook Point Resort & Marina truly became the wedding venue of our dreams. From the moment we arrived, we could feel how special and full of charm this place is. The views are stunning, the team is attentive, and every single detail felt effortless from start to finish. Abby and Meredith were incredible — they worked flawlessly with our planner, Nicole from Pretty Peony Planning, and together they made everything look seamless. We booked the guest houses for our wedding parties to get ready, and it was one of the best choices we made. The private, cozy, and beautiful spaces made the morning feel joyful, calm, and personal. It felt like home — but with more space and more luxury. It felt like we were getting ready in a real life dollhouse! Being just steps away from the venue while still having our own space was the perfect way to start the day. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the food, the setting and how flawlessly everything ran. The service was amazing (no one had to wait long for a drink!) and every detail was handled with care. If you’re looking for a picturesque location, exceptional service, delicious food and a team who truly knows how to create a magical wedding experience, Saybrook Point is it.
