After booking and connecting with my day-of artists, communication was smooth and timely. Bridal Trial During my trial, KaSen accommodated time for two different hair styles because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. I told Kong I’d never liked my makeup done by anyone else before, and she completely blew me away with her work. The trial was fun, and at the end I felt beautiful while still looking like myself. My hair and makeup after the trial lasted over 10 hours (and through a nap) with only minor touch-ups. My artists encouraged me to take notes after and welcomed feedback, which was very helpful on the big day. Wedding Day! On my wedding day, Kong and KaSen came prepared with my trial photos to reference. Kong told me I took really good notes, which made it easy for her to tweak my look exactly how I wanted. As my beauty prep was wrapping up and the ceremony drew near, KaSen noticed my nerves and took a moment to reassure me -- I really appreciated her kindness. My lipstick wore off quickly, which I expected & failed to prepare for -- I had planned to get the same lipstick Kong used for touchups throughout the day but failed to do (wish I would've! I recommend this tip for other brides). My eye makeup lasted through all the tears without any issues. Even though I knew my down hairstyle would eventually get knotty, I felt like Rapunzel & my half-up hair stayed full all day. I lost a few pieces of tinsel throughout the day but not a single bobby pin. Kong & KaSen's attention to detail and care made all the difference in making me feel confident & beautiful on my wedding day. Primped was responsive to all communications, sent quotes for services in a timely manner, and kept me informed about any changes. They were also proactive about asking follow-up questions whenever something needed clarification. I did a bridal hair and makeup trial with Jamie A several weeks before my wedding. She asked me to send inspiration photos for my wedding look, and despite the influx of AI-generated content on Pinterest these days, we were able to capture the essence of what I wanted. It was nice to meet her in person before the wedding, and I appreciated the opportunity to give feedback on my look and share how it held up throughout the day. She took detailed notes on what to adjust for the wedding day. I was initially apprehensive about doing a hair and makeup trial, but I’m so glad I did—if you can afford it, I highly recommend it. On the day of the wedding, the entire team arrived at the Van Dusen Mansion 15 minutes early to set up and spent four hours with us. Everyone was happy with their hair and makeup, and the artists provided minor touch-ups toward the end of their time to ensure we were photo-ready. I loved everyone’s final look. I was especially concerned about my elderly mother-in-law, who has short hair and a very particular way she prefers it styled, including a blowout. Jamie was incredibly accommodating and executed it perfectly. This meant a lot to me because I wanted her to be fully included in the getting-ready process. She looked stunning. When arriving at my venue the team was already there set up and ready to go! We definitely felt like royalty walking into our own personal glam team. Wendy did my hair and spent extra time perfecting my retro glam waves, making sure I was 100% happy with my look. Mia, Mariah, & Keely helped with the bridal party and everyone looked so beautiful and classy! If there were any adjustments to be made, these ladies got right to work without complaint to make sure everybody was satisfied with their services. “Carly is so incredibly sweet! She responded quickly to all of the questions I had, and gave me great advice for what to do for the things that did not work during my trial. She was also very accommodating and was able to fit in another bridesmaid and my mom last minute! The makeup she used seemed very high quality, and she was able to do exactly what I wanted, as well as my bridesmaid’s! However, my makeup did not stay very well. She used a lot of setting spray on me because my photographer wanted pictures of the application of it, and even with the extra couple of coats, my makeup rubbed off on everyone. The hair styles she did on myself and my bridesmaids were pretty good! Sadly, we had the same problem, and the hair styles did not stay well for my bridesmaids. Overall, Carly was great! She is so fun and easy to talk to, and helped ease my stress and worry on my wedding day!”
