“I don’t think I could say enough wonderful things about Candlewood Inn and their team. Simply put our day was perfection. Krista and her team made sure everything was as we wanted it and we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Our bridal attendants Mary and Leslie were the true fairy godmothers of the day making sure myself (the bride) and the rest of our bridal party had everything they needed at all time. The communication throughout the process coming up to the wedding and on the day was absolutely flawless. We felt truly cared for which can be hard to find with the amount of weddings that are done. The venue itself was beautiful, you cant quite beat the views on that lake, and so that alone makes it so special. The food was spectacular, us and our guests could not get over how delicious everything was. The staff throughout the night was so professional and kind, and made sure our guests were cared for as well. We loved having the time alone right after the ceremony with all of the appetizers we had picked just to have a bite to eat and take a moment to reflect on being married! It was so special and I attribute that to the work the Candlewood team put in. I would recommend this venue to everyone and anyone that just wants a beautifully run day. “I can’t count the number of times during and after our wedding I said, “hiring Christina is the best money we spent on the wedding!” I am not a planner by nature and I was dreading wedding planning. The second we hired Christina, I felt like a huge weight had been lifted. She took care of all the tiny details, gave me ideas I never would have thought of, and brought our vision to life. She was so supportive throughout the whole process, answering texts and emails about absolutely everything. On the actual wedding day, I often thought that I didn’t know what we would have done without her. While our venue had a coordinator, they were not nearly as responsive and organized as Christina was. “Working with Mia made our wedding day impossibly easy and free of stress. She is incredible in every way! The service she provided to us was invaluable throughout the whole wedding planning process. Our wedding was at a relatively full service venue, so I initially wasn't sure whether working with Mia was necessary. However, I can confidently say that reaching out to her was the best decision I made in the entire wedding planning process! I am generally very Type A, so I was less concerned about everything going smoothly on the wedding day and more worried about being able to truly enjoy the day and live in the moment. I stumbled upon Mia's podcast and, after listening to only a handful of episodes, immediately knew I needed to contact her. In the month or so leading up to our wedding day, I felt uncharacteristically at ease, and I am certain that I owe this sense of calm to Mia. Being able to brain dump little details, concerns, etc. to Mia was incredibly helpful. It made me feel like somebody else cared as deeply about everything going right as I did. One particular puzzle involving our transportation was driving me crazy, and I spent several days poring over some possible solutions. I finally decided to send an email to Mia outlining the problem, and within a half hour, she sent back a brilliant, detailed solution that ended up working perfectly. Although I was already impressed by Mia before the wedding day, I couldn't believe just how valuable her services were on the actual day. There were so many points where Mia swooped in to help before I even knew help was needed. She acted as my “eyes and ears” that afternoon as other vendors set everything up at the venue. She was right on top of contacting the trolley company when they were a few minutes late for picking up the wedding party (I actually didn't even know they were running late until later that day, as it was all handled before I even had a chance to stress about it). She was right there with safety pins when a clasp on my dress was faulty. And she even held an umbrella over me to block the sun during photos (not sure where she even got it – she was like Mary Poppins, with the perfect supplies appearing in thin air!) It was almost as if she was in multiple places at the same time. Our wedding party was also grateful to have her phone number throughout the day for anything that came up. At the end of the event, Mia loaded all of the decor into our car and even took many of our leftover florals to a nearby nursing home the next day so they wouldn’t go to waste. I genuinely don't know who would have taken care of things like this if Mia wasn't there. Even now that our wedding day was a few weeks ago, I continue to hear stories of Mia that I didn't even know about. For example, at one point, my mom was trying to help some older relatives call a cab back to their hotel before the end of the night. All of a sudden, Mia appeared by her side and took care of it. I am so grateful to her for handling things like this so my mom could fully enjoy such an important day for our family. If you are unsure about whether you need a day-of coordinator, you will not regret working with Mia! Just knowing Mia was there made my stress level infinitely lower. I truly felt like I could soak up the joy of our wedding day without worrying about the little details and the flow of the day. Thank you, Mia, for playing such a big role in making our wedding day as special as it was!”

She sourced the most beautiful candles and bud vases for us as well. We had some last minute cancellations and cut down 2 tables and she worked with us to reallocate what we had paid for those tables to florals elsewhere in the space to not lose out. On our day there was so much love and hugging the groomsmen boutonnieres were falling off before the ceremony and she made new ones for all of them and placed them on. “DLicious Sweets designed and prepared a desert table for our daughters wedding April 2023. It was the most amazingly beautiful dessert table I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue to date!! The wedding cake brushed in gold and adorned with beautiful vintage themed flowers was absolutely gorgeous and amazingly delicious… I’ve gone to the best pastry shops in the country and they all failed in comparison!! We had over six hundred plus pastries, and every single solitary one of the pastries was GONE not one left!!
