Strata Weddings was born out of a deep love for storytelling and a desire to make your wedding day unforgettable. I was introduced to the world of photography the same week I was introduced to the world! All thanks to my Dad, who was never without his camcorder or camera. Because of him, our memories growing up are preserved. Then I got my first camera + tons of film. I documented everything. When film turned into digital, that was a turning point in my life. Since then, my memories, large + small, have been organized on my computer, by year. So I can go back + revisit so many wonderful memories from my life...most which I wouldn't remember without pictures!

I like to think I'm a pretty simple gal. On a regular day, you’ll find me wearing all black, editing away, and eating popcorn [the all-time best snack food, in my humble, yet incredibly accurate opinion.] I am based in Oklahoma City, but I prefer to live out of a suitcase. I have been photographing everything basically my entire life. About 5 years ago I shot my first wedding, and I realized I am a lover of love + it shows in everything I do. I discovered that I truly feel all the feels when I am telling a love story, and I want it to be yours next.

We travel throughout Texas and neighboring states providing candid wedding photography. The best wedding moments are authentic and real. Being in the moment is the best advice we can give any couple. We bring a relaxed atmosphere to your wedding day with a journalistic style. Our approach allows you to focus on one another rather than unnatural posing. We capture moments as they unfold. I moved to downtown Minneapolis from Iowa to attend college. My husband and I met my husband at a cafe concert where we both never thought we’d see each other again. A few days later, he walked into my college class and the joy on my face was indescribable. The rest is history! I met a local photographer who took me under their wing where I learned the beauty of photography. This is where I fell in love with people, specifically the connection between two who are madly in love. I am passionate about documenting love in its rawest form for who the couple really is and for how their day naturally unfolds. It’s ALWAYS about the couple.

A bit about me... I grew up in NY…Oklahoma is the place I currently call home. I am a mom of three amazing kiddos. I love nature, gardening, hiking, anything outside really. I love to travel…I am in awe of the beauty that is this world. I love painting. I love art in all its forms. Ive never met a book I didnt like. I love antiques. I love the story behind anything…people, places, things…its all interesting to me. I love the beach, and the mountains. I love animals… Im slightly obsessed with herbal tea. I might be the luckiest person on this planet because I am able to experience all of this, plus, I get to do what I love.
