I’m Mary, the owner and photographer behind Mary Cyrus Photography. I’ve been photographing weddings professionally since 2010, and I still love the mix of people, emotion, and completely unscripted moments that makes every wedding different. My approach is documentary-first, with an emphasis on genuine interactions and photos that feel like the people in them. I’m based in Northeast Texas and photograph weddings throughout DFW, East Texas, Shreveport-Bossier, Broken Bow, Hot Springs, Little Rock, and the surrounding region. I'm always happy to travel further afield too (I've shot weddings in Mexico, Scotland and more).

I want you to spend your wedding day experiencing it, not performing for the camera. I give couples plenty of room to be themselves and focus on the interactions, reactions, and little moments happening around them. When direction is useful, I’m comfortable stepping in. I’ll help you look natural in portraits, keep family photos organized and efficient, find flattering light, and work with the timeline so photography doesn’t take over the day. After more than 15 years photographing weddings, I know when to guide and when to simply pay attention.
