Technically my name is Alexandra, but my friends all call me Alex. I shot my first wedding in 2015- and immediately knew I had found my calling. Now, with four years of experience under my belt, I still pinch myself that I get to do this as my JOB! Pinning the boutonniere on your dad, reminding your bridesmaids to remove the hair ties from their wrists, and maybe even jumping on the dance floor when the Cha Cha slide comes on (it is my JAM.) I truly take my job as your bonus bridesmaid to heart. All the while, capturing beautiful images full of LIFE that tell the story of your wedding day.

I'm Joey, wedding and portrait photographer and videographer and founder of Trans4mation Photography. What started as curiosity with a hand me down film camera became a lifelong passion for documenting people with intention and meaning. Photography has taken me around the world and showed me that every story deserves to be treated with care. Outside of weddings, I share my life with my wife Jennifer, my best friend and biggest supporter. We love cooking together, walking along the beach and enjoying the simple moments that tend to become the most memorable. In 2003 I began my career in photography with the Maryland Film Office in Baltimore and photographed my first wedding in 2004 with my sister-in-law. I was in love! In 2007 I decided to go full time with wedding photography. I moved out west to apprentice with veteran wedding photographers in Las Vegas and Los Angeles to master studio lighting and posing techniques. I began working full time as a wedding photographer in Annapolis under my own company in 2009. Since then, I have met hundreds of amazing couples. When I'm not photographing a wedding, you can most likely find me on a mountain or the Chesapeake Bay with my family...camera in hand.
