“Now for the details: Brandon, Kellie, Elmer, and Becky were excellent to work with. They were communicative throughout the entire process and even sent monthly checklists to ensure the wedding planning timeline was ironed out and reminded you of the small details that most folks forget about. It’s the little things like these emails that went above and beyond to make sure our evening went as smoothly as possible. Our DJ, Elmer, was very enthusiastic despite challenges at the beginning of the event – the venue coordinator was very combative with him during set-up – and he didn’t let it affect the energy of the evening. (We didn’t find out until after the wedding date from our other vendors setting up and we had to reach out and ask about it because he didn’t want us to worry at all). He provided a high energy level and hits for dancing the whole evening and stuck to our favorite music vibes. Our photo booth operator, Becky, pulled us aside to take photos in the booth and thank goodness she did because we didn’t get the chance to go in before or after she pulled us aside. She put our guestbook together throughout the evening and it was fun to have something that captured our night to look through the next morning. Signature DJs was reasonably priced considering everything we received - music for ceremony & reception, mics, uplighting for dance floor, photo booth with guest book, monogram, and bubble exit complete with 2 bubble machines and bubbles for individual guests. They were flexible with our requests (customized monogram, unconventional timeline, and last-minute song additions) and had already worked at our venue so they were already familiar with the space which was super helpful because the venue coordinator was awful to work with. They put us at ease and gave us confidence that our day would be wonderful when we were the most stressed. Thank you so much, Brandon, Kellie, and team for setting the tone and giving us a memorable night!”

“Let me start off by saying that I didn't think I "needed" a DJ for my wedding, so I didn't budget for one initially. It was about halfway through wedding planning that my now-husband and I decided we should invest in one, so it would be one less thing for us to have to do on our wedding day. Budget was super important to us when booking a DJ, but we also wanted someone who was experienced and knew what they were doing. The DJ Company of Virginia did not disappoint! Nikki and Devail helped me during the booking and planning process, and helped pick the right DJ to use for our venue. When planning, we were able to suggest a bunch of songs that both of us love and also got to make a list of any songs we didn't want to hear. Our guests were able to suggest songs on their own, and I gave those to the DJ beforehand (it was a question on our RSVP form). If you wanted your guests to suggest songs during the reception, I know they would be able to do that too! Jose was the DJ for our wedding and he was super friendly and easy to talk to! My husband and I did a "fake out" for our first dance, where we made it seem like we would do the standard slow dance, but then actually use a fun, upbeat song. Jose made sure he understood what we wanted and our guests LOVED it! Jose played so many songs that I like and love that I found myself on the dancefloor a bunch. I sure got in a workout! If you need a DJ in the Hampton Roads area, you should book the DJ Co. of VA. I wasn't sure we could afford a DJ for our wedding, but their prices were perfect for our needs! He provides access to an online portal (extremely cool!!) which gives you the opportunity to give him a general idea of the type of music you want and keeps things extremely organized...Now more importantly, he literally had the crowd on the dance floor the ENTIRE time... and I’m not exaggerating. (People were texting me days later that they’re sore from dancing the whole night!) He is able to read the crowd and deliver.
