Throughout time the house was purchased to the Kean family where they resided until the last resident passed away in 1995. Our 23 acres grounds are full of beautiful gardens. Our experience with CBH was nothing short of perfect! We had a small 54-person cocktail hour and reception, both in the Othmer Library, and we could not have dreamed of a more perfect space. The overall atmosphere of the library was incredible, and we leaned hard into the old-world feel of the space. Our guests were in awe when they walked in, and the fact that we were able to be involved every step of the way made it so special. CBH works exclusively with Purslane as their caterer, and all communication was done through Purslane, who are also amazing and make fabulous food. (We had many raving guests.) They also help arrange all the rentals, create the run of show, and ensure the night is running along as planned, which it did! A few things we weren't expecting: - The library itself is on the smaller side, so if you want to have dinner and dancing there, you're looking at 60 people tops. This worked out fine for us with plenty of room for a dance floor, but we did have to significantly cut our guest list. - Since the building is a historical landmark, no food or drink that could stain (red sauce, red wine, coffee, etc.) was allowed. This never bothered us, and none of our guests even noticed since we had a fully stocked bar and incredibly delicious food. - We were required to hire a professional day-of coordinator. This was not part of our budget, so be prepared if it's not in yours either. We ended up working with Mostest since they were the least expensive service we could find, and they were amazing. It turned out to be so useful to have our DOC there, so we're happy this rule was imposed, as it led to a seamless night! - The library set up a new exhibit a few weeks before our wedding in the Fransioli Gallery where we were to have our cocktail hour, and we did not know what it would constitute until a few weeks out. We ended up deciding the contents of the exhibit weren't very well suited to a wedding, and CBH/Purslane were incredibly accommodating, offering to put up pipe and drape or move the cocktail hour. We chose to move it to be in the Othmer and were so happy with that decision. Overall, CBH is a 10/10! Our wedding felt like a dream, and anything we had to sacrifice was far outweighed by the stunning space. We would highly recommend CBH as a venue if you're looking for a more intimate night with immaculate vibes!

From the moment we walked into Rule of Thirds for our site visit, we knew that we had found the perfect venue for our wedding! We had our wedding this past May 2025 at Rule of Thirds, and could not be MORE HAPPY for our decision. Not only is the space incredibly beautiful, but the staff is amazing, truly so helpful, kind, and patient. Food and drink being included due to the incredible restaurant that Rule of Thirds already is, in addition to hosting events, made booking this space an even easier decision! Julie and Mandy, who communicated with us throughout our planning process, were a huge help as we worked to envision our big day, and were always available to answer our questions as they came up. Additionally, the food tasting experience was a lot of fun, and made us even more excited for the wedding! Naturally, everything was DELICIOUS and our friends cannot stop raving about how good everything was. On the day-of our wedding, our onsite events operations manager, Lucia, was also a huge help, and alongside our day of coordinating team, it felt like we had an amazing crew supporting us, and ensuring that we felt relaxed and happy all day long. The space itself is also stunning, especially the skylight at the center of the atrium space, which became such a focal point for our wedding design as we envisioned everything coming together. Having access to the bridal suite behind their sake shop also made preparing before and after our ceremony seamless. The way everything came together at the venue, including flowers, signage, and our floor plan, was perfect, and everything we could have ever dreamed of. We cannot recommend this venue enough, and will always remember Rule of Thirds as a special place in our hearts where we got to start the rest of our lives together with friends and family all around us! From the beginning, their communication was excellent - they were always punctual in responding to our questions and extremely attentive to our needs. We chose Robert as the venue for our wedding this past November. From the earliest stages of the planning process, Kristi made us feel confident and comfortable. We took advantage of the dock at the venue and had our guests arrive to cocktail hour by boat which was a unique highlight. The dock is also a beautiful spot for photos! This was the first venue we visited and instantly knew it was the one for us, a lot of which is down to the level of service BG provided. We had just shy of 100 guests, reception in the main hall, and used the Red Stone Theatre for the ceremony. Our guests LOVED that they had access to the museum throughout the night, it was such a fun and interactive night for them. David’s Country Inn is truly the most incredible place you could have by your side on your wedding day. From the very beginning, they made us feel completely at ease, and it quickly became clear that they were so much more than just a venue, they were our guides, our support system, and the people who turned our dream into reality. Honestly, without them, our day would not have been the same; they were absolutely priceless and worth every single penny. Their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail are unmatched. From planning to execution, they thought of everything (big and small) and made sure we never had to worry about a single thing. They even let us deliver our décor the day before and decorated the space for us, executing our vision flawlessly. Throughout the entire day, there was always someone by our side coordinating, keeping everything seamless, and allowing us to truly soak in every moment. The food was outrageously good, our guests are still raving about it. To our surprise, there was even a full dessert buffet in addition to the cake, which felt like an unexpected gift. During dinner, when they ran out of scallops (my favorite), they immediately cooked more just for me, the bride. And whenever we left the table to dance, they whisked our plates away to keep them warm so we never missed out. Every thoughtful gesture made us feel so cared for. What truly sets David’s Country Inn apart is how deeply they care about every couple. We trusted them completely, and that trust was met with nothing but joy, attention, and an experience beyond our imagination. Even with a large team of vendors around us, it was the staff at David’s Country Inn who anchored the day, ensuring that everything felt effortless, magical, and unforgettable. NYIT de Severesky Mansion made our wedding a fairytale dream come true. Working with Dana, she made every step of the process easy…. She is an absolute superstar! We were originally supposed to get married in 2021 but chose to postpone (multiple times) because of the pandemic and they worked with my fiancé and I every step of the way…even when we had to move our date one more time because I, the bride, tested positive for COVID 48 hours before the wedding. The food is remarkable, the atmosphere is incomparable and they care about their clients as people working to make sure your day is perfect. Whenever I had a question, Dana would lead me to a vendor, offer her suggestions, and her support. I could not recommend them more.

From the staff to the galleries to the grounds, the Alverthorpe Manor/Abington Art Center was the perfect place to host our wedding. We enjoyed being able to get ready on site and have the ceremony and reception all in one place. Our guests enjoyed the local art and sculpture garden. It was a uniquely wonderful venue for us as a couple who didn't want a "traditional" wedding venue, and as foodies for whom it was really important to be able to bring in our own caterers!
