About this venue

The New Museum is the only museum in Manhattan exclusively dedicated to contemporary art. Founded in 1977, the New Museum served as a catalyst for broad dialogue between artists and the public. Now the New Museum is a cultural hub that anchors the downtown art scene, exhibitions, programming, and community gatherings living artists from around the world. From our beginnings as a one-room office on Hudson Street to the opening of our SANAAdesigned flagship building on the Bowery in 2007, the New Museum has been a risktaking, future-forward platform for new art and new ideas—a mission accelerated by a major building expansion that doubles our size, designed by internationally renowned architects OMA / Shohei Shohei Shigematsu and Rem Koolhaas in collaboration with Cooper Robertson, Executive Architect. Marcia Tucker Hall Lobby

Welcome guests in our newly expanded Lobby.

Featuring the new atrium stair, where multi-story artwork commissions will be displayed, and spectacular views of one of New York City’s most vibrant neighborhoods at the intersection of Bowery and Prince Street. Great for fashion brands, tech companies, financial institutions, and television and film productions. Available from 6pm daily but requies at TPA.
