I could not recommend Wedgewood Carlsbad Windmill more highly. For half of what we would be paying at any other venue, I feel that we received top-notch service, aesthetics that matched who we are as a couple, thoughtful coordination, and worry-free execution. Our coordinator, Brianna, went above and beyond to give us the wedding of our dreams. We loved our DJ, Noah (with DJ Maestro), who was coordinated through the venue. It was a seamless experience that I genuinely feel saved us a ton of money and gave us MORE value than a traditional venue.

The Secret Garden was the perfect venue for our group of 105 guests in May. It has an intimate feel, but still feels open and welcoming. The flowers were in bloom and the grass was very green. The coordination team did an amazing job accommodating all of our set-up requests and took great care of us on the day of. We are very pleased with everything and loved the preferred caterer and DJ that were part of the all-inclusive package. Overall we found this venue to be one of the more affordable options, especially given you bring in your own alcohol/drinks and can take home what’s leftover. This saved us at least 50/person. The surrounding area and city of Rancho Santa Fe are gorgeous. Parking was easy and all our guests loved the venue.

Rustic Ranch Events
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Poway, CA
  • Up to 175 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $3,500

Designed for Connection, Not Just Celebration Traditional venues are often built around tight timelines—set hours, quick transitions, and a sense that everything must fit neatly into a single day. At Poway Equestrian Center, we’ve chosen a different approach. Our weddings are intentionally designed as multi-day, hosted ranch experiences. This means you’re not rushing from moment to moment. Instead, you’re given the time and space to settle in, connect with your guests, and fully enjoy each part of your celebration. Whether it’s a relaxed welcome gathering, a quiet morning getting ready, or a farewell brunch the next day, every moment feels more intentional when it isn’t compressed. We believe your wedding should feel like something you lived, not something that flew by.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Offers full-service amenities
  • Multiple event spaces
  • Provides event staff

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
  • Does not allow pets
  • Does not have a dance floor
We hosted my daughter’s birthday at Poway Equestrian Center, and it was absolutely perfect. The setting is peaceful and secluded — you can hear nothing but the birds and the soft sounds of the horses. The atmosphere felt so calming and intentional, creating a space where everyone could slow down and be present. It was a beautiful place to celebrate something meaningful, surrounded by nature and quiet charm.
