“Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”

“Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

From our special songs and meaningful moments to the high-energy dancing later in the evening, everything flowed perfectly. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy David was to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but having a DJ who was organized, dependable, and attentive to our requests gave us one less thing to worry about. He listened to what we wanted, incorporated our preferences, and brought his own experience and personality to make the reception feel fun and memorable. I wanted to surprise my mother with a dance and little script to ask her on the dance floor. I asked DJ Squirrel to read the script for me as I knew I wouldn’t make it through. He was very willing to do what I asked but offered a more personal touch!! He gave me the option to record myself saying the script and he blended it into the beginning music of the song! My mom lost it!! What a personal touch and such a thoughtful suggestion! The sound quality and overall presentation were excellent, and David worked seamlessly with the other vendors to help everything stay on schedule. He helped create the perfect atmosphere for every part of the reception, from the special moments to the celebration with family and friends. Our guests had such a great time and had so many positive things to say about the music and entertainment. The dance floor was full, the energy was incredible, and we made so many wonderful memories that we will cherish for years to come. Not only did we use his DJ services, we used his uplighting which made our whole reception space a party vibe, Photo Booth that was personalized with our names and even wedding flowers on the photo strip, and audio guest book to cherish for so many years to come! “Have about 200 people showing up to your reception and want to guarantee that everyone from your aunts and uncles to your most particular friend all send you texts about how perfect your wedding band was? Great, you're done with your search. We worked with The Hook Club on an ambitious two-day wedding, which included them doing live sound for our Friday welcome party, live sound for the music at our ceremony, some deep cut requests, and our desire to not just have "another wedding band." What we got was an incredibly talented, creative, and kind group of people who were ready to make whatever we wanted happen, ready to add ideas and layers, and who then completely blew away our expectations. We're in that era of our lives where we've been to about 100 weddings in the last 10 years, and we can honestly say that no band has even come close to The Hook Club. A year later everyone is still talking about how great our band was. They are true professionals in every sense of the word, and you should seriously consider booking your venue around whether or not THC is available. That's not hyperbole - they were that good.”
