“We had a wonderful experience having our daughter’s wedding at the Barn on the Pemi in October 2025-I highly recommend the venue. The site is beautifully laid out with a variety of options for the different phases of a wedding- we had the ceremony in the greenhouse and the reception in the barn. Both just gorgeous settings. Our planner worked incredibly hard and paid attention to so many details behind the scenes- helping us keep us on track along the way with the many decisions that needed to be made. She was very responsive to our many questions. I’m very thankful for the calm vibe and patience she extended to us throughout the whole experience. I don't imagine that's always easy to pull off, especially during their busiest season! It is greatly appreciated and made a big difference for me personally in keeping me calm, present, and able to enjoy the celebration. I had a blast, along with so many others- most importantly our daughter and son-in-law, who had the wedding of their dreams!”

The Old Scott Barn truly is a venue like no other! Although the 1800s barn is fully restored, we made every effort to keep the original dairy barn features intact. The upstairs hay loft has a spectacular view of Signal Mountain which you will enjoy as you dance on the new wood floors beneath the old hay trolley above you. When you descend the wrap around stair case and enter the old milking parlor downstairs, you will see a stunning 30 foot live edge wood bar and new 20" wide pine flooring nestled in among the old cow stanchions and milking hardware. It is a unique Vermont experience and the perfect setting for your special party. The downstairs is fully winterized and available for small winter weddings and parties.

“My now husband and I have always loved the AMC and we had been to Cardigan before and we knew it was a special place. The AMC is an awesome organization that makes the outdoors accessible to many people in New England. Even if that wasn't true, this would have been the best venue because the setting is so gorgeous. We rented the lodge from Friday-Sunday and had 60 guests stay in bunkbeds with us at the lodge on Friday and Saturday nights. The AMC staff made delicious food that met the dietary restrictions of all our guests. They let us set up all over the property and turn the forest into our dream ceremony location. We even cold plunged in the pond! I would do all of this again, it was just right for our crew.”
