While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

“We loved using Alternative Wedding DJs for our wedding reception! We worked with Brent, and he did a fantastic job taking our inspiration playlists and expanding on them to play music we loved for cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance floor. He also brought in a disco ball and lights that made the dance floor so fun. The dance floor was never empty, and my friends and I were screaming to songs for hours! Brent could read the room and kept the perfect flow with how the crowd was feeling. Brent was also very communicative and was self-sufficient the night of so that we could relax and be fully present. We would definitely recommend using Alternative Wedding DJs!”

“ASEDJ was a blessing when our original band plan fell through. Shockingly they had availability just months before our wedding but that's due to them having several DJs on staff, not just one. The booking process was thorough - they schedule a call before booking where they provided plenty of info. After booking they provided a website to plan our timeline, must plays, and do not plays. Month of you're given a schedule and are eventually assigned a DJ. They offer a photobooth, dance floor, a DJ with a drummer, as well as wedding planning. Idk if they would have been our first choice when we began planning but they were extremely thorough and helpful when we needed them the most! Only complaint was they didn't come close to playing all of our "must" plays but otherwise a great vendor and well experienced in tons of Des Moines Metro venues which is a huge plus.”

“I don’t know where to start with Dillon and Electric Sugar…. They were incredible. Plain and simple. I worked with Dillon leading up to wedding weekend and he was kind, prompt, professional, and fun. We worked together to create a set list that was perfect for our taste in music. Dillon also played guitar at our ceremony and it was beautiful. He did a combo of guitar and prerecorded music per our request and it was perfect. He brought all the equipment needed for our officiant to have a microphone as well. The Electric Sugar band as a whole played for our reception. We had them for 3 hours and the dance floor was packed for 3 hours. They were so much fun and SO talented!!! It was the best party and they were a huge reason behind it! I would recommend them to anyone for their wedding or any other occasion they are looking to add spice and energy too. If we ever host another event where music is needed I would book them in a heartbeat”

“Working with Leo was a great experience. He went above and beyond in providing me the service I had anticipated. His band Wild Faith played for my wedding reception just last weekend and they sounded great. When I first started talking with Leo about his availability he was prompt in his communication and also offered to learn new song material beyond his already extensive set list. This was what really made Leo an exceptional value to us. His offer of learning special songs for us, attention to detail, timeliness in communication as well as showing up on time at our cold and rainy outdoor ceremony site were what he delivered. His band sounded great and he also nailed everyone of our requested songs. In my opinion Leo and his band were ultimately a great fit for us. His value in comparison to other bands I spoke with was unsurpassed. It's a shame that far to often when the term wedding comes up in the hiring process, bands and other vendors seem to charge more for no other reason than the simple fact that they chose to do so. Leo did not over charge for his services and his performance was simply amazing. My guests didn't stop raving about how awesome the band was. He made our wedding special with his professionalism, kindness and the unique sound of his band. He was engaging with the crowd and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Wild Faith again for any future needs. I highly recommend talking to Leo about any live music performances you need to book. He will over deliver and you will be the beneficiary of his work.”
