“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Hiring Mike as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made!! From our first meeting, Mike was professional and friendly, providing us with a lot of information and answering all of our questions. After we booked with him, he set up an easy-to-use app for us to select our songs, write notes about the reception, and communicate any special instructions. It helped us keep track of what to prepare and how to plan the timeline of our day since we didn't have a wedding planner. Mike also came to an in person meeting with our venue so he could be prepared for the wedding day, and he was completely set up and ready when we arrived for cocktail hour and dinner. The wedding day could not have gone better: not only was Mike on point with all the music choices we made, he created an excellent vibe for our guests. We had a lot of families with young adults and older parents, and Mike played music that appealed to both crowds. His emcee skills are excellent, and he was flexible with a few adjustments to the timeline throughout the night. Mike’s son JC worked our photobooth, and he was just as professional and friendly. “Having a band play our Northern Virginia wedding was very important to us. We found Bachelor Boys on Instagram and relished their vibe from the get-go. They felt more personal than the conglomerates with dozens of band. We watched them perform at a showcase in the Baltimore area and loved how they structured their evening with different pairings of band members and instruments - it helped us make an informed decision about the number of instruments we wanted to include. We were wow-ed by Amber at the showcase, and were thrilled to have her emcee our wedding! Communication with the band was very straightforward. We only had a handful of requests, but otherwise, let them play the sets as they saw fit. Truthfully, I can’t remember them taking many breaks because it felt like they played the whole night! Our guests continue to say how excellent the band was! For the ceremony, the band provided a speaker and a representative to press “play” on our music. We also had a trio perform beautifully at cocktail hour. One fun note: we opted for parent dances, and the band had no issues with my Bruce Springsteen deep cut. The singer even channeled his “Boss” to really sound like Bruce! Our dance floor was full from the start, and we loved the sets they played. We had a blast dancing at our wedding - Highly recommend Bachelor Boys!”

We kept the song selection up to him as much as we could, providing some "dos" and "don't" and he did the rest. We got several comments on the music after the fact from both friends and family, so he managed to please both crowds. I'd highly recommend Jack to anyone.”

He is one of the only DJ's I know that constantly reads the crowd. If he can tell people aren't liking a song, he will change it to keep everything lively. I wanted my wedding day to be a huge party, and I really wanted people dancing for the majority of it. That is not an easy thing to do but I have seen James keep people dancing and engaged at my sister's wedding and now mine. “ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! We hired AMP DJ/BAND HYBRID for our wedding and they were one of the best decisions we made. From the start, they were so easy to communicate with, incredibly professional, and genuinely attentive to our family’s needs. The vocals were phenomenal, the musicianship was outstanding, and the energy they brought was unreal.
