I hired Matt Hill and The Classics to play at a memorial party for my mom. She loved jazz, especially jazz standards. Matt and his band were the perfect hire. I am the president of the Big Band 200 Club (a dance club in Wheeling, WV). We have hired Matt Hill to provide music for at least one dance every year for the past few years. We usually get his "Little Big Band" (as you would expect for a club with the name we have), but occasionally we've asked for smaller groups,, and he's always been willing to work something out to fit whatever budget we've had. He has occasionally surprised us with extra musicians (more than he had promised), and that's something our club really appreciates. There are some in our club that like Matt Hill's bands even more than the much larger big bands that we hire. It's easy to see why. All of the musicians he brings are first-rate, and he makes a great effort to play a nice variety of music, so that everyone can dance their favorite dances. I actually enjoy just "sitting out" an occasional dance or two, all the better to enjoy his music. I would recommend Matt Hill for any sort of event that you want live music for.
