We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding day than Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard. From the very beginning of the planning process, their communication was clear, open, and incredibly easy, making us feel confident and at ease every step of the way. We had monthly meetings/check in's with the event manager, Tiffany, who was extremely helpful in keeping us organized, The venue itself is absolutely stunning, blending rustic charm with modern elegance. It’s an ideal spot for couples looking for something that’s both natural and contemporary. The staff at Terrain went above and beyond to ensure our day ran smoothly. They took care of every detail, from setting up our decor—guest book station, seating chart, bar signs, and even our Jellycat wedding eggs—to coordinating everything seamlessly on the day of. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the experience. Tiffany was a true professional and kept everything running flawlessly, which made us feel so relaxed and able to focus on celebrating with our guests. One of the highlights of the day was the bridal suite experience right after the ceremony. We were greeted with our signature drinks and a gorgeous charcuterie spread, with two of every appetizer we selected! It was the perfect way to kick off the cocktail hour and enjoy some quiet time before heading back to the festivities. Overall, we’re beyond grateful to the entire Terrain team for making our wedding day so memorable. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality, and stunning venue made it an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for a venue that combines beauty, excellent service, and a stress-free experience, we highly recommend Terrain Gardens at Devon Yard. We had our reception at the Elmwood Park Zoo in April 2024 and it was the best venue we could have asked for. We’re both huge animal lovers and knew we needed a space to accommodate a very large family, so EPZ was a great fit. We worked with Becky for most of the process and received amazing service! The events team made sure everything was taken care of before, during, and after the reception. As for the guests, our families LOVED the zoo and so many of them made sure to tell us how much fun they had! Additionally, they were very LGBTQ friendly! If we had to do it all over again, we’d definitely pick EPZ over and over.

The Manor at Mountain View

4.9

Harrisburg, PA
  • Up to 325 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $3,400

The Manor at Mountain View was the perfect find for the owners. The rustic feel with modern-day conveniences was a must. But, what was also a must was to have a venue that the word beautiful could not even describe it but, yet to keep it affordable so that so many people could come and enjoy this spectacular piece of property. The Tavern (Groom's Tavern) has its original barn beams as this was at one time a bank barn. The rustic charm matches the rod iron chandeliers in the room leading to the tavern. In 2007 the former owners built an addition to the facility that speaks volumes, equipped with windows throughout to show off the amazing view... It really is breathtaking. Today the owners have renovated all the rooms in the building but, kept the rustic charm. It brings the family great joy to see so many people happy when they visit the property and to be able to share so many events with the individuals that rent the property is a joy that is indescribable.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available
  • Provides event staff
  • Accommodates more than 200 guests

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No free parking
  • Not for you if you prefer a more modern aesthetic
Awarded Best of Zola
I couldn't have picked a better place to get married. Everyone told me to expect at least one thing to go wrong on my wedding day. The only bad thing that happened was that it rained! (Obviously uncontrollable) however, the coordinators still made it perfect. The inside was set up perfectly. I only truly wanted our pictures outside. They literally followed me around with umbrellas and followed my bridesmaids around with hair dryers to dry our dresses and keep us looking our best all while they were getting wet! I received SO many compliments on my wedding. Multiple people during the days after said it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended!

We were a little late in finding a venue for our wedding but so happy we found a late fall opening with Strock Enterprises on their beautiful farm in Mechanicsburg. Kurt Strock and his team made the process super easy and walked us through all of our questions. Their option for having us provide some of our table top decorations while using some of their decorations helped the budget along. The food was amazing and Kurt's Dad (original Farm owner/operator) is superb at his barbeques - we had a full pig roast and barbeque steak). Would highly recommend.

My husband and I got married at Cameron Estate Inn on 11/2/24, and we had the most magical day. The grounds and venue are beautiful. We were having a relatively large wedding and loved the idea of our family getting to stay at the Inn. We rented the entire Inn and had the whole place to ourselves for the day. Every staff member we encountered throughout the day of went above and beyond. Multiple guests have told me how nice all the staff were and that they had a wonderful time. Cathi was great to work with throughout wedding planning and even did some last minute magic to make sure it was the most beautiful space I could have ever imagined. Wish the sound system could be a little louder as we had a loud bunch for our guests, but that's a neighbor issue, not a Cameron Estate issue. We had such a blast and can't believe it's over!

Our wedding was originally planned for May of 2020. Pre-COVID, Ashley was very communicative and answer every question timely making us elated with our venue of choice. Once COVID hit we had to adjust our wedding timeline to July. Ashley went above and beyond to help us make all accommodation changes. She kept us informed of protocol and helped us ensure we could still have our wedding while following all safety measures needed for COVID. While our wedding had many bumps, none of them were because of the Anthracite Center and if we needed a redo, we would chose them over and over again.

Their communication style was poor, often accusatory and defensive when we tried to clarify details with Kelley. However, the value was great - they allowed our pup to be part of the ceremony, which was a special touch. But we had to get any promises from the coordinator, Kelley, in writing, as many things that were "included" in our initial meeting ended up costing extra. Overall, the lack of transparency and professionalism made planning more stressful than needed but overall the day went very well the ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a blast.

The planning process with Arrow Studio & Events was remarkably smooth. Allie and Becca were attentive, responsive, and provided expert guidance throughout. They took the time to understand our vision and helped transform our ideas into reality. Their organizational skills and attention to detail ensured that nothing was overlooked in the months leading up to our special day. On our wedding day, Allie and her team executed everything flawlessly. As the bride, I was able to be fully present and enjoy every moment because I had complete confidence in their abilities. If there were any issues or unexpected challenges behind the scenes (which are inevitable at any event), they handled them so professionally that I was completely unaware. This level of service allowed me to focus solely on celebrating with our loved ones instead of worrying about logistics. The entire staff was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. They anticipated needs before they arose and maintained a calm, positive atmosphere throughout the day. I cannot recommend Arrow Studio & Events highly enough to couples planning their wedding in the Central PA area. The Arrow team is filled with true professionals who care deeply about creating memorable experiences for their clients. Our wedding day was everything we hoped for and more, thanks to their exceptional service and dedication. Thank you, Allie, Becca, and the entire Arrow team, for making our wedding day absolutely perfect!

The Drexelbrook did an excellent job hosting our baby shower. Their buffet and dessert bar options were delicious and plentiful. They took good care of our guests who needed vegan, gluten-free options or a kid's meal. One of the highlights of our celebration was a "make your own bouquet" bar for guests. It was an option that Drexelbrook suggested, based on our shower theme. They worked with us to ensure that we could decorate and arrange the space to meet the needs of our event. There is plenty of free parking on site.

Our wedding at Folino Estate Winery was absolutely perfect. We had a beautiful celebration and I can't thank our wedding coordinator, Lauren, enough. I am a very type-A, detail oriented person and Lauren took care of everything always with a smile on her face. Anytime I emailed, she replied as soon as she could and answered my question right away. I didn't have to worry because I knew Lauren would take care of everything. Not only Lauren, but the rest of the staff was just as incredible, too- Everyone was kind, fast to help, and went above and beyond. Lauren also connected with my other vendors to make sure the day was seamless, and it was just that! I am so happy. The food was incredible! We had so many compliments on the food the whole evening. My husband and I didn't get to finish our meals but the staff packed it up right away and made sure it went home with us. I can't say enough good things about this venue and Lauren, my coordinator. Thank you Lauren for making our day so perfect!!!! We would (and will) recommend Folino Estate Winery to every body, and we will be back for dinner!! :) - Molly & Kory Kemmerer

After months of searching Center City Philly for a wedding reception venue, we finally stumbled upon the Warwick Hotel that met our desires for a walkable and downtown location at a great price point and sizable for our guest list. We secured a date, and with COVID restrictions, were forced to delay/postpone twice. The Warwick was more than accommodating during this time, novating our contract and maintaining our agreed upon pricing each time. While staff understandably shifted during this time, communications were a bit duplicative, and our only criticism would be that our discussions from the point we entered into a contract be documented and logged in a common location so that requests and preferences not get lost in the shuffle. That said, In the months leading up to our event, the Warwick staff was very communicative with both us and our wedding coordinator to ensure all went as planned. They also increased our hors d'oeuvres and desserts in the weeks leading up, at no additional cost. The big day went so smoothly, and any kinks were not evident to us, thereby proving the Warwick's ability to execute flawlessly. Our guests raved about the food and quality of service. To our knowledge, coordination with other vendors was fairly seamless, as the Warwick was very accommodating to vendor needs for logistics and setup/breakdown. All in all our experience at the Warwick was great, and we felt we could make our vision come to life with them without too many predefined processes for how they operate and run their events!

From our first meeting with Kate at Hazelwood, it was obvious that this was her passion and making our day everything we dreamed of was the goal. Venue is extremely well maintained and welcoming to all couples. Getting ready areas are the same (important for two brides) and hair/makeup teams raved about their spaces. Everything is onsite and easy to access. Never had to worry about set up and comes with Blake Events coordinator. All I had to say was "ask Deb" and she had it taken care of.

Overall, we had a great experience with Evergreene Venue. At first we were a bit skeptical because communication was slow and inconsistent, but as the wedding day got closer, they really stepped up. Nina, the venue coordinator, was absolutely fabulous - she made sure everyone was where they needed to be before, during, and after the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. She also made sure my husband and I got a bite to eat between ceremony and reception, and was even kind enough to help bustle my dress before our reception entrance. Nina truly made our wedding the success that it was. The venue itself was bright, beautiful, and had great views. The service from the venue employees was also wonderful. There were a few small things here and there that could have been better (some of the cocktail food items and reception dinner were a bit cold, and one of the dessert options changed day-of without our knowledge), but other than that, my husband and I couldn't be happier with our experience at Evergreene Venue. Our guests couldn't stop complimenting us on how wonderful it was. Definitely recommend for your big day!
