The Best Hawaiian Wedding Catering in Pasadena, CA

“I found Fusion Events LA while searching for wedding vendors because I wanted catering that our guests would actually remember—not just typical wedding food. After reading so many great reviews, I called Felicia, and from our first conversation I knew I wanted to work with her. She was so welcoming, organized, and genuinely cared about bringing our vision to life. When our original venue fell through, Felicia stepped in with her day-of coordination services, and I couldn’t be more grateful. On our wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. I DIY’d a lot of our décor, and her team set everything up beautifully, exactly how I had envisioned it. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! From catering to coordination, bartending, servers, and décor setup, Fusion Events LA truly does it all. I can’t thank Felicia and her team enough for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of. I highly recommend them!”

“Since our venue did not have a preferred vendor list or a built-in catering team, we were given maximum flexibility (which is also intimidating, as the choice and freedom can be a bit overwhelming). To help narrow things down, our planner prompted us to choose a single type of cuisine that we like, and work from there. We both love New Orleans / Cajun cuisine, so enter My House. From their first proposal, we were all in. It featured childhood favorites like fried catfish, and out-of-the-ordinary passed appetizers like mini chicken & waffles. Our first calls with them were relaxed, collaborative and informative. Our first tasting, while kinda pricey (isn't everything?), went really well - and gave us a chance to provide more feedback and tweaks, which were promptly applied to later estimates and menus. As our planning evolved, it was a little tough to try to keep the budget in check, and it meant making some tough calls to cut costs (for instance - jettisoning late night bites), My House was always willing to work with both us and our planner on finding financial solutions - but there were a few moments where we felt like we didn't know what to expect, and stressed out a bit when we saw the latest numbers. I suppose this is part of the process for lots of couples. I never lost faith that they'd turn it out on the big day, and I'm happy to share that they did just that. They created an incredibly tasteful display for our buffet, which struck a balance between rustic and elegant. The staff was helpful, efficient, and professional - but I want to give special highlight to Simone. Simone was personable, diligent and intuitive. She knows exactly what she's doing, any couple would be very lucky to have her running any aspect of their event - because she does it with aplomb. The food was absolutely delicious. Big, bold flavors - zesty, crunchy, creamy, smoky, cheesy, sweet and spicy and everything in between . We loved hosting such a delectable menu that departed from the traditional wedding fare, but stayed true to the cuisine of New Orleans and the tastes of Southern comfort. So, so, so, so good!”

My House Events is a women-owned catering + events company working in Los Angeles, New Orleans and San Francisco. We’re the caterer, but we don’t cook. Buddha Boy Tacos

“We were introduced to Buddha Boy Tacos through a friend who had them cater their wedding, and we’re so glad we took the recommendation. From the start, we were impressed by their menu, especially the variety of vegetarian and vegan taco fillings. Buddha Boy delivered premium service every step of the way. They were responsive, professional, and communicative, always quick to reply or thoughtful enough to let us know when they’d follow up soon. On the day of the wedding, they were efficient, warm, and completely reliable. They set up two lines for faster service, treated our guests with such kindness, and helped create a joyful, welcoming atmosphere. They coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors and ensured everyone was well-fed and on schedule. The food itself was a massive hit-guests raved to us, unprompted, that it was the best meal they’d ever had at a wedding. From appetizers to entrees and desserts, everything was delicious. We can’t wait to have them cater another event and enjoy their food all over again!”

Summit Event Catering

“We got married in Long Beach, CA on 10/12/24 and all of our guests said Summit's food was THE BEST they had ever been served at wedding! I cannot recommend Summit Event Catering more! Pamela Aki especially was fantastic to work with. We chose the plated option for a guest count of just under 160 guests. We found the prices to be reasonable as compared to other vendors, and the quality of the menu, ingredients, and overall taste to be outstanding! Additionally, Summit allowed us to make several reasonable alterations to our chosen package, which we were really grateful for, due to several guest allergies, etc! Pam was incredibly communicative throughout our entire working relationship and we are so grateful. She made the process so easy! On our wedding day, everything went smoothly and the Summit staff was fantastic. We look back at the catering portion of our wedding with fond memories. Thank you Summit & Pam!”

“Above All Catering was amazing in making our wedding special, and a large part of this was thanks to Alicia. She was communicative and responsive throughout our entire planning process. The whole team was kind in taking time to answer any of our questions at any time. The tasting experience was very pleasant, we loved all the food (they let us take the rest home). On the day of, their service was professional and smooth, their team did an amazing job leading the buffet station. Our guests made several comments throughout the night about how much they enjoyed the mushroom fajitas, they were so tasty! We also specially requested horchata and agua de jamaica which were wonderful beverage additions loved by many of our guests. Above All Catering was recommended as a preferred vendor by our venue and remained the only catering option that was explicitly accommodating of a fully vegetarian/vegan menu as well as many dietary restrictions for our guests (gluten free and nut free options) which was extremely important to us. Chef Anna Masteller

“We called Chef Anna “the Zen Chef” because she radiated calm and warmth every time she cooked or dropped off meals. On our wedding day, she was the one vendor who was fully calm, centered, and confident, an incredibly grounding presence for everyone. We had six meals with her, from the welcome dinner to brunches, reception, and an unforgettable late-night spread. She handled everything; shopping, cooking, cleanup and made us feel deeply cared for as a family during our long wedding weekend on Figure Eight Island, NC. Aside from cooking, which she obviously loves, she said her favorite part of her business is helping people make the most of their time together, and that was absolutely true for us. It felt like we bought the gift of time, which is priceless. And we can’t stop talking about the food. Literally better than any restaurant, truly. As a group of well-traveled foodies, that says a lot. Thank you, Chef Anna, for becoming one of our favorite core memories. We’ve already booked her for our anniversary trip to Wrightsville Beach next year.”
