We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding ceremony at Redbird in the Cardinal's Quarters, and we cannot recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was flawless — and so much of that is thanks to Simone, who was incredibly responsive and thoughtful and made the entire process feel effortless. The Cardinal's Quarters itself is absolutely stunning. The intimate setting, with its chic and romantic ambiance, created the perfect backdrop for our ceremony. • Starts at $6,845
  • Offer

Grass Room is perhaps our most distinctive location and features a flowing 6,000-square-foot site plan designed for private events, courtyard weddings, receptions, exhibitions, productions and live performances. The venue is fully amenitized, and we provide experienced, professional site management plus a commercial kitchen for client-selected catering teams. Built in the 1920’s in an area that has long served as the city’s seafood market east of Downtown, the building has lived many lives in its century of use; it’s been a fish and oyster company, an ice cream factory, and a commercial site for everything from far east imports to marijuana cultivation. This quirky history subtly informed our re-invention of the space.

The Grass Room / Marvimon team was SUCH a delight to work with for our wedding, which took place early December, 2024. Dana and Clare made the whole process so easy, comfortable and fun- they're lovely people and extremely organized. Grass Room itself is a stunning space. We chose it specifically because it really requires no additional decor; it's perfect as-is. The greenhouse gardens are so lovingly taken care of and so lush- our photos turned out so beautifully! The customizable lighting, the sound system, DJ booth, projector...everything about the space was just easy and intuitive. Their venue policies are straightforward, and they have a ton of supplementary material, guides and photos to share that were a huge help in the planning process. Having no restrictions on vendors was awesome for us, and the process of setting up a new-to-Marvimon vendor with them was easy breezy. We're not planning to get married again, but we'll be recommending Grass Room and the Marvimon properties to all of our friends and family. And if we ever have a reason to throw another big party- we know exactly where we'll go.

There are truly not enough words to describe how incredible Marvimon was as a wedding venue.
We had the wedding of our literal dreams — an all day affair that took place in both Valentine and Grass Room.

Dana (Event Director) deserves every award there is in the wedding/event category. We opted out of a wedding planner because we were pretty confident in putting it together ourselves but of course there was A LOT to figure out and hurdles faced along the way. But thanks to Dana and Marvimon’s phenomenal team, the end result was truly magical. Between the organization, attention to detail, genuine care, and the list of unbelievable, pre-approved vendors (including a BIPOC, women-owned, and queer specific list which is where we primarily sourced everything) we didn’t realize that we not only got the venue of our dreams but the support it came with was extremely valuable. Not to mention the beautiful furniture, foliage and overall interior aesthetic that was there which removed any need for renting additional pieces. Weddings are exciting but everyone who has planned or is in the middle of planning one knows they are massively stressful. That said, the Marvimon team (ESPECIALLY DANA) didn’t have us worried at all. They were one of the biggest reasons we were at ease and confident things were going to run smoothly which I’m happy to report they did with flying rainbow colors! 100/10 CANNOT recommend enough!
(We are already thinking about our vow renewal party at one of their other venue spaces - true story)

My partner and I’s venue search ended the second we ascended in the historical elevator to the penthouse of the James Oviatt Building. The Oviatt venue is a multifaceted piece of beautiful Art Deco history that lends itself well to whatever event you are trying to throw. In our case, they hosted our wedding. We will forever be grateful for their immense care and kindness leading up to, on, and after the big day. We met the President Gabe first, who had his own wedding at this venue before he managed it. He made us feel right at home and answered every question we could muster. Our one hour showing turned into a two and a half hour conversation where his care and passion for the venue and his clients became very clear. We felt a connection right away. He shared a wealth of great advise and reassurances and gave us an impeccable pool of preferred vendors. We were sold in minutes. Every event is different, but my partner and I did not feel the space needed any help to become beautiful. The architectural art of the space is breathtaking and unique from the valet area outside of the Cicada Club all the way to the terrace. We saved a fortune on a florist. Who needs one when everything is already so classy? Speaking of class, the Director of Events Lindsey took point on execution and was our resource during the planning process. I as an individual am not the most communicative. I needed someone with that attention to detail and she delivered. After giving her all the venue required specifications (seating chart, insurances, etc,) two conversations was all it took for her to equip the venue with everything it needed and make it gorgeous. It seemed effortless for her. Not a spec of dust or dirt to be seen and the staff was respectful, efficient, and welcoming. I had a panic attack because I forgot to ask them for valet and she was able to get her people on it without issue the same week as the wedding. (Don’t be like me, but that is a perfect example of how on top of it they are.) They had EVERYTHING we could have wanted for a downtown metropolitan wedding and then some. If they didn’t have it? They knew exactly where to refer you. One of my personal favorite features was their completely customizable LED lighting strips on the hedges that lined either side of the rooftop. We had them a bright warm light for dinner and then a cycle of rainbow colors for dancing. They are inclusive and welcoming to any and all who come to visit. We felt valued, respected, and well cared for. It truly was the best day of our lives and we owe it all to The Oviatt. I implore to to reach out to them. I can say with certainty that you won’t be disappointed and whatever it is you are planning will become a memorable experience unlike any other.

Dana, Clare, and Anika have been amazing from start to finish. When touring at venues to see which one we wanted to have our wedding at, Millwick hands down felt like home that even other Marvimon venues did not compare to this one which gave my husband and I the instant feeling. The price is solid for the amount of space and venue offering that you get. The fact that it comes with tables and chairs and a lot of furniture, a onsite kitchen, Site Managers, the best support you can get, some in house DJ offerings, and a bunch of other stuff. The Marvimon staff is top notch. They jump straight into helping you in any way they can and they do the most stellar job. We loved that they were so down to earth, understanding, and patient with us. They made us feel right at home. The great thing about Millwick is you do not need to dress up the venue much with all the greenery, its the perfect vibe you need for an intimate wedding celebration, it was definitely vibes for sure! There are so many amazing features about Millwick that I can go on and on but one thing that is a must is if you book Millwick you can hot iron brand press and mark your memory at the outdoor bar and it will be there forever! We did that during our design meeting with Clare and our wedding coordinator and it was so much fun, that on our wedding day our guests got to see it when they were waiting for their drinks, even our dog took a picture with it! Another unique thing is that they have a magnet wall for the seating chart and we used that to make polarid magnets of all our guests which was a huge hit! You can customize the image you want displayed on the projector or play videos, photos, etc. as well! Millwick allows your vision and creativity to come to life and the sky is the limit. Whatever you are envisioning, share it with Clare, Dana, and your wedding coordinator and they will be there to support you every step of the way and give you great tips! Their preferred vendors are seriously the best ever!! Majority of mine were from their list and they really made my wedding exceed all of my expectations, my husband and I both had one of the best night of our life because of Millwick, the Marvimon team, and all our amazing vendors who made our vision come to life to a whole another level of perfection!! Thank you Millwick!! We can't wait to visit you again!

St. Anthony Croatian Catholic Church was the perfect venue for our wedding celebration. From the very beginning, their communication was wonderful - they were responsive, accommodating, and made the planning process easy. The quality of their work and overall value was amazing. The church itself is very pretty, with beautiful stained glass that created a stunning backdrop for our outdoor reception dinner on the patio. We asked them to keep the lights on inside so the glass would be illuminated at night, and it looked breathtaking. Many of our guests said it was the most lovely wedding they had ever attended. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our special day. The guests really appreciated not needing to drive anywhere after the ceremony. Also, the bride and groom photoshoot was at the Bradbury building and just on the sidewalk outside the church. Very pretty for wedding photo backdrops.

What a memorable night! Well executed, shocking, funny, creepy and easy to get engulfed. The actors did a spectatular job and the venue is everything I wanted from head to toe. They adjust according to your needs and work off based on different personalities from your guests. The lighting, the music, the mood. They accomodated my needs and kept in contact with me through the planning process. They handled ultimately everything and made my night very special. The photobooth was such a special touch and guests could send gifs/images to themselves. They provide parking for hosts but parking around can be challening but not impossible since there are metered parking all around! It can be a little challenging to find since the outside is black and discrete. It really goes with the theme perfectly. I highly recommend!

We love how the current owners and staff have worked to restore the building and honor its history - and in doing so, the history of LA. Dave is a wonderful site and event coordinator, and he was so communicative, responsive, and helpful! The Beverly Room exceeded our expectations! Gorgeous setting, SO MUCH natural light it and transformed effortlessly from ceremony to reception. The team there went above and beyond, even helping us find the linen color I wanted! (Our reception was totally 80s, I guess neon linens are hard to find??) The execution was on point, it truly was the magical, unforgettable experience we wanted for us and our guests. I was super apprehensive about committing to a location, but not at all once I found this place.

I’ve been going to golden road for years since I live nearby but this past Friday we chose to hold our rehearsal dinner/welcome party there for our wedding and it was AMAZING. From booking months ago, the events staff was incredibly helpful with communication in planning the event. They have excellent packages to choose from based on your guest count and preferences. The buffet for the rehearsal dinner was delicious, fresh, and friendly to dietary restrictions and the snacks we served at the welcome party ie donuts and pretzel bites were also phenomenal. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and all of our guests were raving about what a great night they had. THANK YOU GRB for a truly incredible and stress-free start to my wedding weekend.

Seriously wow. Whatever your expectations out of a venue and a production team, throw them out the window because Marvimon will surpass them 10 fold. Truly, we don't know what we would have done if we didn't host with Marvimon. Due to a mandated curfew in the downtown area that went into effect 2 days before our wedding, we had to pull off a last minute venue change. They immediately offered to move us from Millwick in Arts District to Smogshoppe in Culver City to keep our guests safe and our timeline intact, and then worked night and day to update layouts, shift staff over, and make our wedding happen with no hiccups. They were truly a dream to work with. On top of that, every single interaction we had with them was so focused on understanding and executing our vision for our day. I don't know how their team does it, but every single email we sent them was replied to in 15 minutes flat and with everything we needed to know and more. You really feel like a VIP working with Marvimon!! Finally, everyone, from their coordinating staff to their security team, are the nicest people on Earth. Marvimon seriously makes dreams come true. Work with them!! You won't regret it!!

From our first look at pictures of this venue, we fell in love. The architecture and the history of this venue stand out compared to other venues we looked at, and the chance to support a non-profit with our wedding was an extra bonus. All the staff that helped us with everything from planning to the day of were wonderful and really helped the day go perfectly. Even with the threat of rain, we knew we had options for an indoor or a outdoor/indoor wedding. We also have to shout out their Preferred Vendors list as a great place to start building the rest of our wedding vendors.

Attended a cocktail hour for my friends wedding here and wow! The owners are so nice and welcoming. I wasn’t expecting to meet them, but they were personally at the party to make sure everything went smoothly with food and entertainment. Like other reviewers mentioned, the place looks very cool. The parking lot was a few doors down from the venue and it was easy to find, but there was also plenty of parking in the neighborhood. Location is great, could work for a Valley, Hollywood, or Downtown crowd. Definitely keeping this place in mind for the future!

We finally had our wedding at Playa Studios in Aug 2021, postponed from Aug 2020 by the pandemic. It's a fantastic space with high ceilings and an industrial modern feel, plus a touch of whimsy via the art work. The main event space is basically a black box and you can create any theme/layout you'd like, but it's also nice enough to use as-is if you want to keep things simple (we kept things simple). This is an indoor only space, but we were ok with that. They do have some outdoor space at the entry, but it's minimal. We loved that it wasn't a traditional wedding-type venue (think hotel ballroom), and that they host a variety of other events as well. We also appreciated the flexibility to bring in our own caterer. The venue has an extensive kitchen space included in the rental. Highly recommend you see the space for yourselves. The photos don't do it justice. It was the last on our list before we started looking, yet nothing could compare once we had our visit.
