The absolute silver lining is that Devin was SUCH a good fit for our vibe: she put us at ease and took photos that were vibrant and fun (rather than tender and serious). She got to know us and photographed us "as we wanted to be seen." The other component of this is that when we received our wedding (and engagement) photos, they were all excellent. I am CERTAIN that Devin had to cull through a bunch of awkward shots....but the ones she sent made me feel super attractive always. Excellent judgement on her part! “Ian Borgerhoff will forever be the vendor I recommend most!!! Not only are his photos beautiful, but he has a fun personality to work with as well. One of the many things our bridal parties loved about working with Ian was his educational session on how to best pose and smile for photos in the most flattering ways. This definitely helped our friends that aren’t very comfortable in front of the camera. Another reason I loved having Ian as my wedding photographer is because unlike most photographers, he gives you the option of receiving all Raw and unedited photos taken during your wedding day. This was HUGE to me because the wedding day goes by in a flash so I wanted every image I could get, even those with someone’s eyes closed or looking goofy because each photo was special to me. In fact, the edited photos totaled to nearly 2,000 images and the raw and unedited photos (every single photo taken through the entire day by Ian and his second photographer) was a whopping 15,000 and I could not be happier! It was so fun to relive the wedding day by going through all the images and because Ian is so awesome, he let me send him over a hundred more unedited photos that I loved and he took the time to edit every single one of them in his style. What I love about Ian’s editing style is that his photos don’t look overly edited. I personally am not a fan of when photographers edit photos heavily in order to give them a “moody” or “airy” vibe; I want the photo to feel like a moment captured in time. With Ian’s editing, the colors feel vibrant and beautiful without feeling artificial, forced, or overly trendy. We decided to also purchase our wedding album through Ian and he had been SO helpful with adjusting layouts and being patient as I went through every option for it. He has been so helpful and we absolutely love working with Ian. We even loved working with his second photographer as well. As the bride, I loved that Ian stuck by my side all day and had his second photographer with my groom and his groomsmen to ensure every moment was captured. Hiring Ian was the easiest decision of our wedding planning and we couldn’t be happier with the photos we received. Thank you so much Ian for capturing our perfect day beautifully!”

“I cannot express how thankful I am to have booked Kara for my wedding day! Kara not only produces absolutely stunning photos but she also helped us plan out the whole day by creating a timeline and made me feel so stress-free throughout the whole process. “Alexis was great from the start! She traveled for us for our engagement pictures in Ludington and to Bay City for the wedding. She had virtual meetings with us a few times to get the feel for our style and what we wanted. She even helped me decide on our engagement picture outfits! She always had suggestions and was easy to get ahold of too. She was so sweet too. Day of our wedding she had ideas of how to pose us but also took many candid shots too. Our guests loved her and she stayed a little later to capture something we requested during dancing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, she also gives sneak peaks right away, which we loved!!!
