“I don’t even know where to start. Audra was amazing, I don’t know how but we had crazy weather for both our engagement shoot (Canadian wild fires making it the smokiest day of a decade) and our wedding (hottest day of a decade at 100 degrees feels like 110). But Audra could not have been more amazing, she was so flexible and handled all the weather hurdles like such a pro. She was able to take all the photos we wanted and make us feel so comfortable while doing so. She captures such beautiful moments and was so patient when people were late or grumpy about the heat. She then handed us some of the most beautiful photos I’ve ever seen and made me feel so gorgeous and that I was back in the moment with my husband. We immediately felt comfortable with her as if we were talking to a friend and, as two people who tend to be awkward in front of a camera, this went a long way. During our engagement shoot, she helped find poses that worked naturally, made us laugh during the cheesy shots that turned into our favorite pictures, and brought my Pinterest dreams to life (we had the same pics pinned so it was meant to be). “Working with Megan and her husband for our engagement session was such a lovely experience. It was our first time being professionally photographed ever and we were expecting to feel super awkward. But it turned out to be a perfectly tolerable and even enjoyable few hours. We were given enough instruction to help some poses look better, but not so much that we couldn’t feel comfortable to be ourselves or settle into what felt natural — especially since most of the session was in our home. Everything from coordinating our engagement shoot to planning the shots we wanted at the wedding was seamless. Ashley is not just a wedding photographer; she is a true artist and has an incredible talent for styling shoots on the fly, troubleshooting in challenging environments, and making everyone feel SO comfortable. One of my main concerns with our photos was that we would look stiff - with Ashley that was not an issue. She had us laughing and feeling so relaxed from the very beginning. On our wedding day, Ashley was extremely efficient and worked around our desire to have the first look at the ceremony, while also somehow getting all the shots we wanted plus a lot more. We even made the last 15 minutes of our cocktail party!
