Hi I'm Maddy! I’m a Virginia native whose love of her camera took her on an adventure into entrepreneurship. I accidentally stumbled into wedding photography thanks to some family friends, and ended up leaving my career as a consultant to pursue my passion. I’m not afraid to admit that I’m a perfectionist and a little bit Type A, but take pride in how that makes me into a great wedding photographer. I thrive in fast-paced environments and love the energy of a wedding day that keeps me on my toes. My attention to detail allows me to go above and beyond when it comes to helping you prepare and capturing your wedding day.

    Run, don't walk!!

    Maddy was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding photography needs. From day one, Maddy was incredibly responsive, organized, and professional. She provided invaluable guidance on timelines and vendor recommendations that perfectly aligned with what we were looking for. During our engagement session, Maddy immediately made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and even stayed longer than planned to capture the best light. On our wedding day, Maddy expertly navigated timeline modifications so we still got all the photos we wanted. We had a lengthy list of family and detail shots that were important to us, and Maddy made sure each item was captured beautifully.     Best Photographer You Could Ask For!

    We absolutely loved working with Maddy! She was professional, talented, and made us feel so comfortable during our photoshoots. She truly nailed the sweet romance we were trying to achieve through our pictures. Our package also included an engagement session and the photos came out beautiful! We had an incredible selection to choose for our save the date and website photos. Maddy’s system is also so easy to use. She uploads all photos online and gives you the option to download into a Google Photos album so it makes sharing with friends and family incredibly simple. In the days leading up to our wedding, Maddy was organized and helpful, even prepared for the rainfall predicted for our wedding! The day turned out gorgeous and so did our pictures. We are so happy we chose Maddy to capture our big day and I know you will too!

Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date, but it does vary. Some couples book far in advance and some people only reach out a few months before. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability because I only take on a limited number of weddings a year!
Yes! I always bring a second photographer for at least part of the wedding day if not the whole day, depending on a client's package.
Of course! All final images delivered in your online gallery will be color corrected, cropped and touched up with my own artistic edit to ensure they look beautiful.
Engagement sessions are delivered within 3 weeks and wedding galleries are delivered within 6 weeks. Regardless you'll receive sneak peeks within 48 hours so you have some images to enjoy while you wait for the whole gallery!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
On average I deliver about 75 images per hour of shooting, but this does vary depending on the number of guests, venue type, weather and other factors. Almost all of my wedding galleries for 8 hour packages include at least 750 images if not more!
