Hi guys! I'm Sarah. I'm a fine art wedding and lifestyle photographer based in the DC area. My specialty is documenting your day in an authentic, beautiful and timeless style. I'm driven and inspired by light, nature and connection.

Here's the deal about me... I love LOVE! I can't help it, I just do. I love the way a Groom's face lights up the first time he sees the love of his life walk down the aisle. I love the way dads tear up when they see their baby girls all grown up and the way moms melt into their son's arms during their mother son dance. I love the tender moments between a couple and they way the look at each other like there isn't anyone else in the room. My goal on your wedding day is not only to create a gallery of beautiful images, but also to capture all of that emotion for you. I want you to feel the love that surrounded you that day.

    I hired Sarah for to photograph my tiny elopement ceremony (8 guests) at my home in October 2021. She responded immediately to my booking and all of my questions. Then it went downhill. Our ceremony was on Oct 25th. I emailed her on 11/2 to thank her and just inquire when we might get our photos. No response. I texted her on November 8th—no response. I made 2 more attempts to contact through zola’s messaging portal in November, but she did not bother to respond. She collected payment in full before the ceremony, so I was getting concerned about being scammed. I sent another message through Zola on 12/1/21, requesting even just a sneak peak—no response. 12/21/21 I sent an email, no response. I found her facebook page, which had multiple negative reviews from customers stating they never received photos and/or merch, and some who had to threaten legal action to get a response. On 12/30/21, I sent a Zola inquiry for booking under a fake profile at 15:28. Sarah responded 17:04 agreeing to book a last minute elopement ceremony 1/30/22, promising a sneak peak photo within one week after the ceremony and photos within about 4 weeks. She still had not responded to any of my messages about the photos for which I had paid 800. I baited her a bit more, and she responded within hours to my fake profile. I then told her that due to all her negative reviews on her facebook page that I would not feel comfortable booking her. The facebook page then disappeared. At this point, I was furious. On 12/31/21, she responded to my fake profile at 1030. At 12:24 I requested an update on photos from my real account through Zola. At 12:46 I left a voicemail left at her business phone. At 12:57 I sent a text message to her cell. At 13:04, I sent an email. At 15:13 she finally responded after 2 months of ghosting, with a string of unprofessional excuses—although she was still clearly booking last minute jobs. I have evidence of everything stated in this review. For two whole months, I worried that not only had I been scammed out of 800, but that more importantly, that I would have no photos of the most important day of my life. Clearly, I would bot recommend this con artist.

    We were lucky enough to stumble upon Nova Soul when we were looking to do our engagement photos. Sarah was absolutely amazing and gave us the engagement photos of our dreams. When we unexpectedly had to cancel our destination wedding, because of the pandemic, Sarah was my first email. We were thrilled she was available to photograph our elopement ceremony. We had high expectations, because we already knew how amazing she was, but she absolutely blew it out of the water. She was able to capture the emotions, love, and all the beauty of our small intimate ceremony with our immediate families. Not only are the photos gorgeous, but Sarah herself is so kind, and easy to work with. I had never had professional photos done, she made me laugh and feel so comfortable. I don’t think I can properly explain how highly I recommend her!
