β€œWe had our wedding at The Rosemary At Spano Lake on October 4th and it was everything we could have asked for and more! The owners, Jackie and Danny, were amazing to work with and helped make our wedding visions come true by going above and beyond our expectations. The bridal suite was beautiful and had amazing lighting for hair and makeup! The tent was able to accommodate our guests of about 125, it had beautiful lights, tables, bar service, and so much more! Outside of the tent there was yard games and a fire pit! We had our ceremony on the lake facing out to the water by the rock and it looked just like a scene out of a movie! The pictures show just a small portion of how beautiful and amazing the venue was!”

β€œWe were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to usβ€”an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.”

We not only rented the 3 cabins on the property, but we also put up glamping tents near the cabins. We had 32 people staying here for 3 nights and 4 days. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch the day after the wedding under a beautiful tent alongside the lake. It was breathtaking. My family and friends can’t stop talking about how much fun our 4 days together were. The owners are in a cabin at the back of the property, so they were there for us whenever we needed them all week.”

β€œSeven Ponds Farm is the first and only venue that my fiance and I toured. We weren't even set on getting married within the next year, but we happened to find Seven Ponds online and figured we would tour. We fell in love immediately. We knew we wanted a few things out of whatever space we found: 1) somewhere we could have a weekend event with onsite accommodations, 2) good food and beverage, and 3) beautiful scenery. Seven Ponds was all of this and more. They have streamlined the planning process so that you truly do not need a wedding planner, and with food and beverage being included in the package, it's just that much less to plan. We got to the venue on Thursday and were able to enjoy the house, swim in the pond, and prep the space at our leisure. The day of, everything went seamlessly thanks to their stellar team of coordinators and staff. Guests are still telling me what a perfect day it was. Min and Morten (the owners) are so kind and are genuinely invested in making sure you are happy with everything. Book this venue, I promise you will not regret it!!”

About wedding venues in Nassau, NY

Planning your wedding in Nassau County opens the door to exceptional venues across the area. From Westbury Manor with its lush surroundings to stunning waterfront properties overlooking the Long Island Sound, you'll find perfect settings that give you that ideal balance of natural beauty and sophisticated convenience without the hassle of traveling too far from metropolitan areas.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can I Find in Nassau?

Nassau County venues feature distinct personalities to match your vision. Elegant estates and mansions like Westbury Manor showcase Victorian gardens and architectural details that create a timeless backdrop for your celebration. Waterfront venues including Swan Club On The Harbor offer panoramic water views with a dedicated ceremony island where you can exchange vows with a stunning natural backdrop. Country clubs such as Crest Hollow can accommodate your larger gathering with multiple ballroom options and expansive grounds. If you're looking for something with character, historic locations like The Barn at Old Bethpage Village preserve their 19th-century charm while providing all the modern amenities you need for a comfortable celebration.

How Much Should I Budget for a Nassau Wedding Venue?

Wedding venues in Nassau typically account for 22% of your total wedding budget, averaging $17,042 for the venue alone. Your overall wedding cost will scale based on your guest count, which helps you plan accordingly. A small gathering of 50 guests runs about $32,956 while a medium-sized wedding with 100 guests averages $55,929. Larger celebrations with 150 guests typically cost $77,513 and 200-guest weddings reach around $96,785. For really grand affairs, expect to budget about $116,056 for 250 guests or $135,327 if you're inviting 300 people to share your special day.

When Is the Best Time to Book in Nassau County?

Nassau venues require booking about 15 months ahead – that's 431 days before your wedding date – with December being the peak month for inquiries as newly engaged couples start planning. Spring and fall dates are especially popular and often demand 18+ month advance bookings, particularly if you're eyeing those gorgeous waterfront properties where October foliage creates premium demand. You'll want to move quickly once you've settled on your date, especially if you're dreaming of a weekend celebration during these peak seasons.

Which Nassau Venues Offer Accessibility Features?

Westbury Manor provides full accessibility throughout its modern facilities with entrance ramps and accessible restrooms that ensure all your guests can enjoy your celebration comfortably. If you're looking at nearby options, Flowerfield Estate in neighboring Suffolk County offers spacious grounds with excellent accommodation for wheelchair access across its impressive 12-acre property. These venues understand the importance of including all your loved ones and have designed their spaces accordingly, giving you peace of mind when planning your guest list.

Where Can I Find Exceptional Culinary Experiences in Nassau?

Flowerfield Estate, just a short drive from Nassau, delivers outstanding culinary experiences through their award-winning catering team who can serve up to 350 guests with remarkable attention to detail. While they don't specifically highlight individual chef names, their reputation for excellent food quality makes them ideal if you're prioritizing the dining experience. You'll find their culinary offerings combine traditional favorites with innovative presentations, ensuring your reception meal becomes a memorable highlight of your celebration rather than just another wedding dinner.

How Can Nassau Venues Accommodate Remote Guests?

Nassau County Museum of Art offers enhanced remote participation options through virtual garden tours and gallery exhibits that help distant loved ones feel included. Their Georgian mansion and sculpture gardens provide interactive experiences with multiple camera angles capturing both formal ceremony moments and spontaneous celebrations. This means your friends and family who can't attend in person can still experience the beauty of your venue and share in your special day, creating a more inclusive celebration that bridges physical distance through thoughtful technology integration.

What Questions Should I Ask Nassau Wedding Venues?

When interviewing venues, ask about their service charges beyond the quoted rates, weather contingency protocols (particularly important for May and September bookings), vendor insurance requirements, exclusivity periods for your event, and recommended accommodation options for out-of-town guests. These practical questions will help you avoid surprises later and ensure your planning process stays on track. Each venue handles these details differently, and understanding their policies upfront gives you valuable peace of mind as you move forward with your selection.

How Do Nassau Venues Compare to Nearby Options?

Nassau venues command premium pricing due to their proximity to Manhattan but deliver sophisticated accommodations with established hotel partnerships that make guest logistics simpler. You'll find that Suffolk venues like Flowerfield Estate offer more expansive natural landscape settings if that's your preference, while Nassau specializes in elegant waterfront properties with harbor backdrops that create stunning photo opportunities. Your choice ultimately depends on whether you prioritize convenience, setting, or specific amenities – but Nassau gives you that perfect middle ground of accessibility without sacrificing beauty or service quality.
