Working with Chynna was an absolute dream from start to finish. She coordinated our wedding in Martha’s Vineyard, and I honestly don’t know how we would have pulled it off without her. Starting with our very first meeting, she brought such calm, clarity, and confidence to the entire process. What could have easily been overwhelming turned into something joyful, seamless, and fun — thanks to Chynna. She handled every detail with such grace and precision — managing vendors, logistics, timelines, and last-minute curveballs like a pro. It was clear from day one that she not only knows what she’s doing, but truly cares about her clients and their vision. She listened closely, gave thoughtful advice, and always had a solution ready before I even had to ask. On the day of the wedding, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Everything ran flawlessly from the ceremony to the reception, and that peace of mind was the greatest gift I could have asked for. So many of our guests commented on how beautifully everything flowed, and I was able to be fully present knowing Chynna had everything under control. If you’re looking for a wedding planner who is organized, creative, deeply kind, and a true professional — Chynna is pure magic. She made our Martha’s Vineyard wedding unforgettable, and we will forever be grateful for her talent, heart, and dedication.

Melissa was awesome! I was the mother of the groom. I traveled in from Tennessee, had only communicated over the phone and shared text messages and pictures for inspiration of how I wanted my hair and makeup with her. She arrived at my Airbnb the day of the wedding and literally worked her magic. She was calm and personable. I was ready on time and felt beautiful all night. I couldn’t have asked for a better makeup artist. And for it to be someone on such an important day that I had never met in person, it was truly spectacular.

We had the best experience working with Nick for our engagement photos! From the moment we met him, he made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and guided us through poses in a way that felt natural, relaxed, and fun. We shot at The Looking Glass and up in the mountains, and the views and locations he helped us choose were absolutely breathtaking—truly unforgettable. Nick brought such an easy, positive energy to the session and turned what could have been a nerve-wracking experience into one we genuinely enjoyed. Our photos turned out stunning, and we couldn’t be happier. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for a photographer who is talented, thoughtful, and amazing to work with!

A Bride’s DJ - North Carolina
Rating: 5.0 (20 reviews)
  • DJ
  • Starts at $1,995
  • Serves Mountain Home, NC

Diana and Robby, Owners of A Bride’s DJ, feel especially qualified because they both like to celebrate more than the average human. Robby is willing to wear a costume for any reason. Having a themed event? He has dressed up & made announcements like a pirate. Arrr! We have a small team of DJs who have each performed at 100 to 1500 weddings. Our DJs extensive experience & training ensures a smooth planning experience for clients, excelling in communication, are ego-free (so you get what YOU want), detail-oriented, and most importantly…they actually mix the music.

A Bride's DJ was fantastic with communication and even integrated an easy to use app for coordinating music and time! Chris and the team really put forth so much work, and our wedding coordinator even raved about how much they loved working with them. The music was so great - not only did we hear compliments all night long, but we even spotted the bartenders dancing the night away. Thank you so much Chris!

By the luck of the draw, Nathan was available for our very quickly planned wedding--we snagged the last date he had in June 2024. I was ecstatic because I had always admired his work. My now husband and I had a blast working with him, we never thought taking photos/videos would be one of the highlights of our big day but it really was. The whole family loved working with Nathan, too. He was laid back but nothing short of a true professional--he was somehow everywhere, capturing everything yet never in the way. He went with the flow with funny family eccentricities that popped up and made everyone feel comfortable. Our photos and video got back to us in shockingly record time and we can't choose favorites because we love them all. Multiple people we've shared photos have said, "that looks straight out of Vogue or a magazine." If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with Nathan in any capacity, whether it be a wedding or other shoot, do not pass this amazing artist up.

Tina is incredible. Not only was her work exceptional, she truly valued and listened to what my desired look for my wedding was. During my trial, we had the best time chatting and discussing what I was going for. As the day went on, I realized I wanted to make some changes to my makeup for the big day. When my wedding day came around, she took notes and made all the changes from the trial perfectly. I've never had airbrushed makeup before, but after working with Tina, I will always come back to her should the need ever come up again. I can't recommend her enough. I felt absolutely flawless. You can tell her heart and soul is in this line of work and she's amazing!

Choosing the right photographer is a big deal—truly one of the decisions that can make or break your entire experience. We met Nathan at the very beginning of our journey, during our engagement shoot at the Biltmore Estate. We were both nervous, awkward, and completely unsure of what to expect. Then Nathan arrived, and everything changed. Within minutes he had us laughing, relaxed, and genuinely enjoying ourselves. That was the moment we knew he wasn’t just talented—he was special. So when it came time to choose someone to capture our wedding in Sedona, we took a chance and asked if he would fly out. Honestly, we thought it was a long shot… but he immediately said yes. And thank goodness he did. I will never forget the moment he walked into the room on my wedding day. I had just started feeling that wave of nerves while finishing my hair, and the instant Nathan stepped in, I felt completely at ease. How does he do that? He has this quiet magic about him—an ability to ground you, hype you up, and disappear into the background all at once. His passion is infectious. His eye for intimate, meaningful moments is unreal. And somehow, while capturing every single one of those moments, he manages to remain practically invisible. When we received our gallery, we both laughed, cried, and sat there in awe. It felt like reliving the day, but through the lens of someone who truly understood us. To put it simply: Nathan is gifted. Exceptionally, unmistakably gifted. We even showed our engagement photos to another top-tier photographer, and her reaction was: “Book him immediately. His editing is some of the most incredible work I’ve seen—I want to talk to him myself!” If you're reading reviews trying to decide who to trust with your memories, stop here. You’ve found the one. Nathan exceeded every expectation we had—and then ten more we didn’t even know we should have. He is the best of the best.

Homewood
Rating: 4.8 (12 reviews)
Asheville, NC
  • Venue
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,500

Homewood, a special event venue in Asheville, NC, is an ideal destination for rehearsal dinners, weddings, receptions, and gatherings. Homewood is a beautifully restored 1920s stone manor located in Asheville's post-Victorian historic district of Montford. The elegant castle was originally built as a private home. The elegance of the 1920s luminesces from original wrought iron chandeliers and alabaster sconces, casting graceful lighting from the 20-foot ceilings of the Great Room to the original hardwood floors, cherry walls, and grand Appalachian stone fireplaces. Conveniently located within a mile of downtown Asheville, Homewood offers 200 free, designated parking spaces, and is located in a neighborhood setting. The Great Room seats 110 people for dinner, or up to 150 with cocktail seating, with space for dance floor and DJ or band. Homewood is fully handicap-accessible. The beautiful and lush surrounding grounds provide additional outdoor space, including our garden ceremony site.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Handles all cleanup logistics
  • Bridal suite on site
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
From the moment we started planning, Homewood's team was responsive and easy to work with, which made the whole booking process feel smooth and stress-free. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—it worked perfectly for both our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception, and the romantic, timeless atmosphere was exactly what we'd been picturing. What really set them apart was their curated list of vendors; they had some required and some recommended, but every single one we worked with was fantastic and clearly vetted by the team. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the space was, and we felt like our day was elevated just by being there. Homewood took care of all the details so we could focus on enjoying our wedding. We'd recommend them in a heartbeat to any couple looking for a venue that's both gorgeous and backed by a team that truly cares.

With over 40 five-star Google Reviews, and more than a decade of photography experience documenting adventurous couples and outdoor athletes, I’m stoked and ready to find creative ways to tell the story of your epic day.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had an absolutely incredible experience with Andy as our wedding photographer! From the start, he was very helpful as we laid out a plan for our day - giving us so many great recommendations for the area we wanted to have our ceremony, as well as vendors from the Asheville area. This alone was wonderful, but we were blown away by Andy's flexibility and willingness to work with us when we had to completely change our wedding plans at the last minute due to the devastation left by Hurricane Helene in the WNC area. We ended up moving everything to Colorado, and we are so grateful to the hours Andy put in to find great locations, research how weather could affect us and specific locations at the time of year we were there, as well as thinking of details to make our guests, and ourselves, more comfortable when we weren't thinking of these things at the last minute. Our wedding day in Colorado was absolutely perfect, and the photos are incredible, and we truly feel like so much of that was successful because of Andy's assistance. From the logistics, to being a fantastic photographer committed to getting the best, most beautiful shots for us, to also just being an all around wonderful, kind person to interact with - we can't recommend him enough. Thank you Andy for everything!!

Fun fact, we’re actually highschool sweethearts and have been together for 10+ years. We are currently based in NC and are transitioning to WA in 2022. We love to travel and are down to adventure throughout the US & Beyond. We both have a heart for exploration and love working with couples who share this adventurous spirit. Genuine smiles, hearty laughs, spontaneous adventures, that’s what we’re all about.

We are over the moon with our photos and videos from Amy and John. The quality is incredible, and the quantity is unbelievable. They delivered an incredible amount of photos so quickly, and our friends and family have commented several times that it looks like our wedding was featured in a magazine spread because the quality is so impressive. We’ve been looking through them nonstop, and every time we see some new gem. They captured so many big and small moments throughout the weekend. It is incredible that they were able to capture so much without us or our guests feeling like there were cameras everywhere. They blended seamlessly, and it truly felt like we were just hanging out with them all day. They were so kind and lovely to work with and directed us beautifully, while allowing us to be ourselves and capturing genuine and authentic moments. They both brought such a calm presence. We can’t believe they captured so much content and so many angles when we don’t even remember them doing that - we mostly remember them being by our sides and talking and laughing with us. So many of our guests have said similar things. They truly impressed everyone and have given us so many incredible photos and videos to remember the weekend. Hiring them was such a great decision. To any couple considering Michael: book him, trust him, and let him do what he does best. He captured our day with so much beauty, intention, and care. We left our wedding experience not saying goodbye to Michael, but “see you later,” because we genuinely hope to use him for all of our family photo sessions in the future. We found Michael Freas by Googling Pretty Place Chapel photographers, and we were immediately blown away by his talent, his style, and the breathtaking photos he had captured for other couples. From the very first inquiry, Michael was incredible. He responded the same day, shared full galleries from other Pretty Place Chapel couples, and spent the entire day communicating with me to help us choose a date that worked well for both him and us. We basically let Michael pick our wedding date, and little did we know that would be the first of many decisions we would happily trust him with. Looking back, giving Michael full creative control was one of the best choices we made. The day of our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and so much of that is because of Michael. From well before dawn to well after dusk, he took on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure with us and turned it into something we will never forget. He was on time, prepared, thoughtful, calm, and somehow delivered in ways that completely surpassed every expectation we had. Just a wedding photographer? No way. Michael planned, guided, encouraged, organized, and executed our entire day in the most seamless and meaningful way. Even though we eloped, Michael made us feel like we had everyone we needed right there with us. He brought such a steady, joyful presence, and by the end of the experience, he felt much more like a friend than just our photographer. And the photos… WOW. They are breathtaking, awe-capturing, emotional, and beyond anything we could have dreamed of. Michael stunned us with a huge sneak peek and then delivered our full gallery in under one month. Everyone who has seen the photos has had the same reaction: stunning, beautiful, amazing, breathtaking. People keep telling us how happy and beautiful we look, and how incredible the landscapes are. We feel so blessed to have had Michael as our photographer and so much more.

I started photography in 2017 and after being a part of many weddings, engagements, and family sessions, I still love what I do and I am deeply dedicated to serving my clients. I consider myself a storyteller and love capturing the little details, the half-smiles, and the simple motions. For me, it is about seeing the real, the lovely, and the messy moments, the everyday magic that tells the stories of our lives. Each wedding and session has its own unique story to tell and I challenge myself to capture those stories through my camera as best as I can and would be honored to capture yours too!

We love our photos that Eugene captured on our wedding! Me and my husband have been looking at them constantly after our wedding and love every single one. We are blown away by how beautifully he captured us, our family and friends on our wedding day. There are a lot of moments where we didn't even know were happening but Eugene did a great job photographing those too. Thank you

Highland is definitely the best venue in Asheville! The rooftop has beautiful mountain views, the barrel room has a great skylight and hanging greenery, and the reception space can be made into whatever you want it to be. We used all three spaces for our wedding and it has great flow and plenty of space for a larger guest count. Erin & Bailey were both extremely helpful throughout the entire process from touring/initial questions to all the tiny details leading up to the big day. Our wedding was scheduled shortly after the hurricane in fall 2024, and we were so passionate about having it at Highland that we rescheduled to 6 months later, and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Amazing staff, excellent draft beer, convenient to downtown, and a beautiful space; we can’t imagine having our wedding anywhere else!

We recently found an incredible venue and couldn't be happier with the experience! The views are absolutely fantastic, providing a breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and photos, especially with the beautiful sunsets we enjoyed every evening. The event spaces are nice and well-maintained, offering a variety of different spaces for all our activities, from the rehearsal dinner to the main event. This versatility made planning seamless. The accompanying house deserves a special mention; it is modern, spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, making our entire weekend stay feel like a luxurious retreat. Logistics were a breeze, which is a huge relief when planning a wedding. There was plenty of parking for all our guests, and the easy accessibility to Asheville meant that friends and family flying in or staying in town had no trouble getting to the venue. Overall, it was the perfect location for our special day, combining natural beauty with excellent facilities and convenience. We highly recommend it!
