Specializing in wedding hair and makeup services on location and in studio in the Asheville and surrounding areas of Western North Carolina. We have a large team of hair and makeup artists all specializing in weddings.

What sets Jeanne’s Hair and Makeup Studio apart is we have free consultations, and free trials with a gift of choice from the bridal box at time of trial in studio. We have our own space called the Hummingbird Cottage suitable to accommodate large wedding parties with space for bridal parties to bring and have brunch at the time of their appointment. We also pride ourselves in providing space availability for the wedding party to get ready for the event. In addition, with all makeup services, lashes and lipsticks are included for the bride and her bridal party.

    Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. They were very responsive and professional in all of our communications leading up to the big day. On the day of, the team at Jeanne's created beautiful updos and curls for the bridal party that we absolutely loved. Their studio is full of flowers and has a relaxing, spa-like environment that helped us all feel calm and beautiful as we got ready. Jeanne's team truly took care of us and made sure we all looked and felt our best for our special day. We highly recommend Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio to any couple planning their wedding!

    I don't want to write a bad review because the services were not bad but there were some things I want to make sure others know. I did my trial with Jeanne and loved my hair and makeup (airbrush). The week of the wedding there was some confusion and lack of communication from Jeanne to where she was no longer going to be doing my wedding herself, she was sending someone else in her place. Not a problem in my eyes, things come up. The problem came with the person she sent in her place. There was not communication between Jeanne and this person because the new person didn't know I did a trial with Jeanne with airbrush makeup which this stylist doesn't do. She did the traditional type of makeup which didn't hold well, and I had black lines under my eyes from the eyeliner/mascara before the cocktail hour even started. The makeup sweated off pretty much right away where the airbrush makeup from the trial lasted all day even with sweat. She was not able to recreate the hairstyle Jeanne did because she used different tools. The person who took Jeanne's place was pleasant and sweet, she did the best she could, but her product and services were completely different from Jeanne's which was stressful to deal with hours before the wedding. Thankfully I am a laid-back person and just went with what I had but looking back I wish I had expressed concern with the changing of the person and the product I was going to receive the day of the wedding. Again, I want to express the work Jeanne did was great and if I knew I was going to get her specifically and her services I would hire her again. I would suggest asking more questions and getting clarification on the services leading up to the wedding day, so you are not in a situation like I was day of the wedding.

    I wish I could give Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio a positive review, but unfortunately that is not the case. Their communication style was completely nonexistent - they never reached out leading up to the wedding to confirm, which should have been my first indication that this was going to turn out poorly. And on the day of, the stylist simply didn't show up at all. This was a huge disappointment and caused a lot of stress and chaos as we scrambled to find someone else to do our hair and makeup at the last minute, which we were unable to do. The quality of their work was non-existent since the stylist never arrived. I would strongly advise anyone looking for wedding beauty services to avoid Jeanne's Hair and Makeup Studio. Don't book with this woman, as she is unreliable and unprofessional.
