Over 15 years experience in the wedding industry. I can handle just about any lighting situation from dark barns to bright sunlight. Rain? I have plenty of experience helping you get shots even if the weather is not cooperative. I have also been told my pricing is competitive and reasonable compared to many other pros with similar styles.

    The best photographer!

    From our first conversation, Jeff at J. Darren Photography was responsive and willing to work around our needs, which made planning feel easy and stress-free. He walked us through our timeline multiple times leading up to the wedding and was genuinely excited about every detail, which gave us so much confidence. During our engagement session, Jeff's guidance helped us feel comfortable in front of the camera and showed us what to expect on the big day. The photos he captured are stunning—we honestly have too favorites to count, which is the best problem to have. Jeff's dedication to his craft and his kind approach made him a pleasure to work with before, during, and after our wedding.     Kind, Calm, and Incredibly Talented

    Jeff was amazing to work with! He made us feel comfortable from our very first engagement session and kept us calm and relaxed on wedding day. He was so kind to our family (even taking a quick cell phone pic for our grandma!) and even jumped in to help when the groom his drink spilled on the dance floor so the party never stopped. Beyond being wonderful to work with, his photos are stunning—we couldn’t be happier!

    Dancing in the Rain!

    Working with Jeff was an absolute pleasure. Jeff was able to capture beautiful moments of our family in photos that I will treasure forever. Jeff communicated very well, answering all my questions throughout the process promptly. He is also extremely flexible, as we had a thunderstorm during the ceremony and reception. Jeff had prepped us with a plan in case this were to happen, and the photos demonstrate his preparation and planning skills. Jeff was in the rain, on the dance floor, and running around the Church. We appreciate his hard work and dedication. We can't thank you enough, Jeff, and highly recommend him to any couple!

    Jeff was truly the MVP of my wedding day. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. He knew exactly where to put people for the best outcomes. He made me feel confident and directed me every step of the way. He was professional and respected everyone’s time. He took pictures of my wedding in late October, and really highlighted the beautiful fall foliage. All of my pictures look dreamy and magical. Couldn’t ask for a better photographer.

    Best photographer hands down!

    I cannot recommend Jeff highly enough! He was extremely responsive from the get-go and always answered any questions I had right away! He spent an hour on the phone with me a couple of weeks before the wedding to nail down day-of timing, to ask if I had any shot preferences, and to answer any questions or concerns I had. The day of my wedding, he arrived a bit early to get everything scoped out and he was absolutely wonderful the entire day. One of my mom's pet peeves is when a photographer is too distracting at a wedding and she said she never even noticed him all day! His vision for each and every shot was so well thought-out and he beautifully captured every single minute of our day. Any couple would be lucky to have Jeff photograph their wedding!

In my 15 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also reach out to a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in. I will do my very best to keep your event covered in my absence.
You can expect about 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.
No, I prefer focusing on photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 8 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a USB drive with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
A second photographer is an option that can be added or either already a part of my wedding packages. I am completely confident if I am alone and have personally handled hundreds of weddings this way. Having a second photographer is also a plus in many ways.
