My husband is my second photographer, so we come as a photo team! Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving so you look and feel natural and comfortable. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone. Like, please don’t take a photo of me from below! Hello double chin! What I’m saying is, I Got You!

“Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?”

“Laura is absolute perfection! I can not give her enough praise! I wanted a very specific look, queue soft Hollywood waves with my hair tucked behind my ears, and she brought my vision to life. But even better!! Laura talked me through options for my hair type, getting extensions and even helped create the perfect artistic vision with adding pearls!! Laura also was able to work with so many hair types which could not have been more important to me and my girls. My youngest sister has stick straight hair that we’ve NEVER been able to curl and Laura gave her more body and flip in her hair than they had in the 60’s! I’ve never seen my sister so happy and thrilled with how her hair was styled! Laura also was incredible styling my best friend and future sisters in law as they all have naturally curly and textured hair. Laura was warm, attentive and flexible. She kept us on schedule and worked closely with my planner and makeup artist to ensure the whole day smoothly. I did not stress for one moment. “Having Funk Almighty at our wedding last year was both the cake and icing on top! It’s not just the usual band experience because on top of the great music some of the band stepped onto the dance floor with us, and that just blew our guests away! They danced and sang with us and our guests, bringing an amazing energy that was both intimate and exhilarating for us!! They even did a dance routine that all our guests caught on too and before we knew it everyone was doing the same dance. We looked at quite a few bands and we cannot recommend them enough because they made our wedding feel more like a shared experience with friends than a formal event. It was a highlight for many of our guests and truly showcased Funk Almighty's commitment to not just performing music but creating lasting memories, which was something Daryl promised us right off the bat. The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band.
