“Julia is truly the BEST photographer out there and she makes everyone look SO GOOD!! We booked her for both our engagement session and our wedding because we loved her so much! She is so skillful at finding beautiful angles and working with natural lighting, and she was great at directing us with suggested poses that didn’t look forced or unnatural. She was also really easy to work with: we met up beforehand to communicate our vision and discuss the kinds of photographs that we wanted for the engagement session and we did that again for our wedding. On our wedding day Julia brought her husband Leo who is also a photographer to assist her and they came early in the morning to begin taking scenery photos, details, and other things while the rest of us got ready. She was there with us throughout the entire day all the way til the end of the evening and she went out with us to take some sunset photos in the middle of the reception, which turned out so beautifully! Finally, Julia was super prompt at sending us the final photographs, which I know she worked hard on because there were A LOT! We can tell that Julia truly enjoys what she does and really wants to get the best photos possible so she always goes above and beyond. “Mel is truly a one-of-a-kind photographer. I’m an over planning, anxious person and bride. My photos were my top priority of my wedding day and it was extremely important to me that they were what I wanted. I had searched for what seemed like forever and stumbled across Farfalla and immediately knew it was the style I had been searching for. The contrast makes the photos intimate without comprising them and being too dark. And there is no give in color, it’s beautifully there. “Matt and Mo were so lovely to speak with from our first meeting all the way to the wedding day. When we were initially looking for photographers we were looking for ones with an artsy flare that could handle difficult light scenarios as we were getting married at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. They were just as stoked as we were and were excited for the challenge of reflective glass and constantly shifting lighting as well as low lighting areas. They have an easy day of planner form that you fill out closer to the day and they also go over the day of schedule with you prior to make sure that everything goes well, which as a schedule-minded girl, I loved. The day of, they were amazing. They're easy to work with and it was like hanging out with friends who just so happened to be taking pictures of you and walking you through photo shoots. “Our top priorities in finding a wedding photographer were 1) a portfolio featuring queer couples and 2) a colorful and candid style that performs across different lighting conditions and indoor/outdoor settings. Wraven Designs absolutely delivered. Chatting with Adriane on the phone for our consult, we got the sense that she is an experienced wedding photographer who can remain relatively unruffled under all kinds of circumstances — and this turned out to be very true. Adriane and Lexi, her second shooter, put us at ease and made us laugh throughout the photo shoots of our day. They were great sports about getting wet in the rain to capture our big family group shots, and about being pulled off the dance floor to capture random sets of friends, college & travel buddies, etc. Crucially, they brought along several different styles of umbrellas, which we didn’t even think about until the day before our wedding when rain was forecast. They really made the best of the overcast skies! When we had to switch the ceremony to the rain plan without a lot of advance planning and my wife & I were busy getting ready, Adriane was able to give advice to our DOC and officiant on the ceremony area layout for the best photo setup. Adriane was also very flexible about coverage — she let us purchase a custom package between two of her other offerings, and was down to shift the start/end times of photo coverage a few weeks before the wedding. She and Lexi were very independent throughout the day, roaming the grounds and capturing all kinds of great details without needing direction, and they made sure to let us know about last calls for photos before they departed for the night. We are so thrilled with the memories that Adriane & Lexi captured for us on our wedding day with friends and family. We have romantic pre-ceremony portraits, gorgeous family photos, emotional shots of the ceremony, and fire shots from the dance floor — all delivered on an adorably packaged custom USB.
