We cannot express enough gratitude to The Faded Poppy for the breathtaking floral arrangements they created for our wedding bouquets! From our very first consultation, The Faded Poppy was an absolute pleasure to work with. They listened intently to our vision, adjusted as we worked through the vision, offered excellent suggestions, and truly understood the aesthetic we were hoping to achieve. Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I were nervous about doing our own flowers, but Flower Moxie made the whole process feel manageable. The team was easy to talk to and really listened to what we wanted, never making us feel rushed or judged for our DIY approach. They broke down everything into simple steps and provided gorgeous blooms that looked like they came from a high-end florist, but at a price that actually fit our budget. On the day of the wedding, our arrangements turned out beautiful and our guests kept asking who our florist was. We were so proud that we'd created them ourselves with Flower Moxie's guidance. If you're thinking about doing your own flowers, I'd definitely recommend giving them a shot.

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

We are beyond grateful for the exquisite floral arrangements by Misha (Woodland Florals) for our wedding day. Every detail, from the bouquets to the centerpieces, was meticulously crafted and stunningly beautiful. Misha perfectly captured our vision and style, incorporating our chosen colors and flowers flawlessly. Guests were in awe of the floral decor, and it truly elevated the ambiance of our venue and vision. Working with Misha was a pleasure; she was professional, attentive, and responsive throughout the entire process. When I described wanting something different, bold, and undeniably pretty for our bridesmaid bouquets, she took our vision and wove it into a masterpiece. She has this incredible knack for listening not just to what you say, but to what you want deep down. Her creations are not just flowers; they're a reflection of her artistry and her ability to capture the essence of your dreams. Her and her team’s expertise and creativity shone through, ensuring that our wedding day was adorned with floral arrangements that exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Misha, for contributing to our unforgettable day with your exceptional talent and dedication to perfection!

Ket was patient and attentive to detail with all of my requests, checking in throughout the planning process to ensure that all of the things she had in mind for the wedding matched what I was dreaming of. On the wedding day, when I saw the flowers at our ceremony, I was floored and immediately in tears. Hi there, I'm Jessica! One of my favorite things about being a wedding florist is getting to create living art. This kind of art is never stagnant, never monotonous. The medium represents growth, connection and love- a perfect symbol to surround my beautiful couples on their wedding day.

Working with Jessica was a treat. She was an incredible listener and translated our inspiration into reality spectacularly. Her arrangements were dynamic, structural, cohesive and so intentionally crafted. We shared some specific elements/colors we wanted and she was able to run with our ideas and turn them into a full floral design vision board. Jessica had candles and votives, and sourced these gorgeous ribbons for the bouquets. She thoughtfully incorporated all our requests and was happy to adjust throughout the planning process. I can’t recommend her more highly!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

We are so grateful to have had Jessica from Fleurish & Bloom as our wedding florist! She was an absolute joy to work with—sweet, creative, supportive, and incredibly attentive throughout the entire process. The bouquets she created for me and my bridesmaids were absolutely stunning, and they perfectly captured the style and vibe we were hoping for. On the day of the wedding, she even built a gorgeous flower arch onsite just hours before the ceremony—it was breathtaking and one of our favorite décor elements. What really stood out was how budget-conscious she was. Whenever we had new ideas or last-minute requests, she always found thoughtful ways to make them happen without adding unnecessary cost. We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!

  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

Honeysuckle Farm is a small flower farm and design studio located in Madison County, VA. We provide arrangements for weddings, events, and special occasions. Our arrangements feature locally and American grown blooms and we practice a sustainable, foam-free approach to floral design.

Awarded Best of Zola
Many amazing qualities - from the sustainable use of in-season plants, aromatic plants, and willingness to help transform bridesmaids bouquets to center-pieces post ceremony, I couldn't recommend Honeysuckle Farm enough. What I appreciated even more was her flexibility in working with my budget - while several florists in the area turned me down when I wasn't able to meet larger minimums, Honeysuckle Farms listened to my priorities list and crafted an offer tailored to what I most wanted. Totally transparent pricing and high-quality work. Florals were not my priority, so we didn't communicate too frequently. When we did speak Honeysuckle was kind, considerate, and showed she was thoughtful and deliberate in questions/responses. I think the communication quantity would have changed if I had more specific requests or a larger purchase. My jaw DROPPED when I saw the wedding arch she made for me. This was far beyond my wildest dreams and (I felt) a REALLY good price. Would recommend Honeysuckle to anyone, but particularly for folks who aren't looking to spend 5k for bouquets and basics***(obviously pricing is based on market and seasonality).

I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. Barnswallow Blooms
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
  • Serves Millboro Springs, VA

I have a love for all things wild and natural, scented blossoms, mossy twigs, and starry nights. Flowers simply make my heart sing. I believe the magic of growing and gathering was planted in me years ago as a young girl, working alongside my mother picking wildflowers and lily of the valley. How I create is deeply rooted in who I am; a floral designer, grower, and potter. I feel my art background has been a really strong foundation for floral design as textures, color, and design are all intertwined with both arts.

From start to finish, I never had a doubt that Mary Ann and Barnswallow Blooms would make my wedding perfect. I gave her my vision, colors, and favorites, and she cane through with literally the most amazing bouquets, ideas and greenery I could have ever hoped for. I got so many compliments on everything, and it’s all thanks to her! If you also need gifts, not just for your wedding party but in general, definitely check out her shop- The Barn Swallow.
