Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! “Love & Light Entertainment was the perfect DJ choice for our wedding. From the beginning, Josh and Lynn were incredibly organized, responsive, and attentive to all the details. They worked closely with our wedding coordinator to ensure the music and timing for the night ran seamlessly. Josh was especially flexible and collaborative, working with us to create a custom dinner playlist where each table was called up to the buffet line by a song from the album on their table. This personal touch was a huge hit with our guests. We had a smoke machine for our first dance that was having trouble, Josh fixed it enough to use it for some of the dancing throughout the night. We had put some songs on the dancing section of the portal that is set up for each couple (which is amazing) those songs were not played during the reception. There was a requests page and we probably should have put the songs we really wanted there, it is more direct than putting it on the dancing section, something for others to keep in mind. Josh also played a groomsmen and bridesmaids song. The groomsmen’s song was perfect for them, if I had known, I probably would have changed the bridesmaids choice. We loved the music that was picked and everyone continues to tell us how they had not seen a wedding where the dance floor was full the whole time. We also continue to get positive comments on how great the music choices were. Everyone loved our phone audio guest book. Josh let us use any phone we wanted as long as it had the cables he needed which is great when wanting to have a phone that matches your theme. Love & Light has a variety of services and packages to pick and choose from to meet anyone’s needs. Overall, Love & Light provided professional, high-quality service that exceeded our expectations and helped make our wedding day truly special.”

When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. “I was blown away by the talent of the musicians, they really take their craft seriously. I requested a Roaring Twenties theme from Louis Pettinelli and they went above and beyond to make it happen. The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. I highly recommend this group for your wedding.”
