I’m Megan Thompson, and I am the gal behind the camera at Meganography! I’ve always had a passion for photography, ever since I was a wee little one! When I was approx. 4 years old, my Grandma would let me use her camera to take pictures of my dolls (lol)! I've owned Meganography since 2016, and I've been photographing love since 2017. I also am in love with any and all cats of the world, sunshine, wearing sweatpants/leggings, and Starbucks pink drinks! My goal is to capture your love in every image.

He keeps me laughing & helps me strive to be the best wife & momma I can be. Together we love our fierce threeanger, Maryjean, our baby boy, Walter, & our pup Wrigley. I love to have fun and I put 110% into everything I do. I’m outgoing, talkative, silly, a little sarcastic…but most importantly I’m a mother. I LOVE photography and I got into it after having our first daughter. Like most new parents I wanted to capture everything she did. It became an obsession for me to perfect my photography, partly because I like to be the best at whatever I do and also because I wanted to have amazing pictures of my girls! I’ve had some of the worst experiences with photographers before I became one.

I am a fine art wedding photographer and wedding planner, wife, and mother to our three sweet babies! I first fell in love with photography at an early age. I became very inspired watching my father photograph weddings and capturing the authentic joy on his clients best day. It was then that I fell in love with the concept of love and knew what I wanted to do. I went on to film photography in high school and digital photography in college. After college I started a job as a party coordinator. I did this for years. Then, on blind faith started my own journey into the world of photography and wedding planning!

I have studied fine art photography long before I ever started taking portraits of other people and shooting weddings. Fine art photography was my beginning, creating conceptual and authentic art that spoke to me and told my story was what I started with and then I started blurring that line between fine art and documentary. I started documenting other people and their lives in the same way that I created my own work intended for shows and galleries. That is how I came to the style that I shoot now, still blending the two parts of my life.
