I have been a chef for many years and one year I wanted to make my mom a special cake for Mother’s Day. Her favorite flower is hydrangea, so I attempted to make a cake that looked like a hydrangea. It didn’t look as bad as I thought it was going to. After posting it, I had many friends and family reach out for me to bake them a custom cake. Finally in 2022 I decided to create Katie’s Kakes and received my LLC. I love being in the kitchen and creating something beautiful and tasty for any wedding! I love what I do!

The quaint specialty shop opened its doors in December 2009 and features specialty cupcakes and cakes. Each of our cupcakes is baked fresh each morning then topped with our special recipe buttercreams, made each week in house with quality products and fresh butter.
