“Michael Ramos with District Remix kept the dance floor going all night at our wedding! We shared some playlists with him for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and the dance floor, and he completely understood the vibes we were going for and ran with it, working in everything from Irish folk songs to KPop Demon Hunters to Bruce Springsteen. So many guests told us the music felt just like “us” and commented on what a great DJ Michael was. As the bride, I even postponed changing into my “late night” dress because I wanted to spend more time on the dance floor! “Ed was so helpful and easy to work with our entire wedding process, which was a breath of fresh air in a very busy season! My friend had him at her wedding a few years prior and highly recommended him, and I’m so glad we took her suggestion! Ed has a great DJ website where you can add all the songs you like, as well as which songs you don’t want to hear (which is very important for me). He then creates amazing mixes with the songs and knows how to keep the party going. I was really happy he was able to find our first dance song, which is from the 1940s and not easy to stream from just anywhere (thank you!!!). Our dance floor felt tailored to us, and the lights were so fun. He also did our introductions and gave the guests instructions when needed. We ended up going to DJ Addison, who at the time was considered a "first-year DJ." He exceeded all expectations. Addison was simply a treat to work with in the planning stages and was exceptionally on point and professional during the wedding day. From his bridal party introductions to saying goodbye at the end of the night, he was simply great. One of my friends told me she had never seen such a wide span of generations on the dance floor at a wedding before, and she was 100% right. “Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. Our first venue canceled on us 4 months from the wedding date, and they pivoted quickly and signed on for our new date and venue. They learned two new songs to play alongside two vocalist performances during our ceremony, and jammed out during cocktail hour before becoming our emcees and DJs for the reception. They even made it work when we had a last-minute rain plan go into action. My guests will not stop talking about how great the music was throughout the whole event.
