“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Gemma was great! From the very beginning, she was so easy to work with. She was very responsive and really listened to what we wanted. She listened to our concerns about getting some of our guests to dance and gave us a lot of great advice going into the wedding day, like adding dance floor props to get everyone engaged and adjusting our anniversary dance so everyone ends up on the dance floor. She worked with us and curated a great wedding playlist. Our guests complimented us on what a great DJ she was. Everyone loved seeing her behind the booth, dancing along with the guests. At one point, one of our guests dropped a glass and she played “Heart of Glass” right after, which was perfectly timed (lol). She really knew how to read the crowd and keep the energy up while still playing some of our silly requests. She curated a great mashup for the mother/son dance. My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. She even took videos during the ceremony and reception and shared them with me afterwards which is something I did not expect but was so grateful to have. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“If you're on the fence about your wedding DJ, stop looking and book Jacob from District Remix. From the first time we met Jacob, we knew we were on the same wavelength. He immediately understood the atmosphere we wanted to create throughout the night, from a vibey dinner reception to an absolutely packed dance floor. He's incredibly professional, easy to work with, and genuinely knows his music. Jacob met with us several times leading up to the wedding and was always open to our ideas. We gave him a list of songs and different genres we loved, and he took it to another level by creating an incredible "Power Hour" set. He seamlessly mixed our songs with others that perfectly matched the vibe, keeping each song to around 90 seconds or less so the energy never dropped. I can honestly say there wasn't a single moment during that set where I wanted to leave the dance floor. Every transition kept people engaged, and the dance floor stayed packed. Beyond the music, Jacob was excellent on the microphone. He was professional, clear, and never overbearing. He knew exactly when to step in and when to let the music do the work. Looking back on our wedding, hiring Jacob was hands down the best money we spent on any of our vendors. Brandon took on the challenge not only with enthusiasm, but also an incredible amount of flexibility, clear direction, and belief. “Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. Our first venue canceled on us 4 months from the wedding date, and they pivoted quickly and signed on for our new date and venue. They learned two new songs to play alongside two vocalist performances during our ceremony, and jammed out during cocktail hour before becoming our emcees and DJs for the reception. They even made it work when we had a last-minute rain plan go into action. My guests will not stop talking about how great the music was throughout the whole event.
