From the beginning, the property has been operating as a greenhouse. In fact, in the 1800’s, Highland Farm was the largest supplier of cut flowers in the Northeast. Highland Farm is a family owned and operated business, and the undeniable sense of family and welcome energy is palpable the moment you step on the grounds. The saying is true here: “you come as strangers and leave as family.” The Greenhouse and The Farm has been run by 3rd generation owners, Joe and Christine since 2008, but Joe and Christine’s involvement in the farm runs far deeper than ownership. This beautiful building was built in the late 1800s as a railroad station to support the loading, unloading, and storage of freight. In 1990, it was restored to become a function hall that can easily accommodate 120 of your closest family and friends. The leather belt-driven ceiling fans, wooden phone booth, beadboard ceilings and walls, vintage baggage cart, and authentic gas-fired, pot-bellied stoves add to the charming atmosphere of this function hall. Our hall is the perfect setting for weddings & receptions. There is also the option to add our Out-of-Town Guest Suite for overnight stays.
