Located on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, Bluewater Grill is the perfect location for your wedding festivities. Our private rooms have beautiful harbor views and we would love to help you plan your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach was the perfect venue for our wedding! We used the downstairs patio for our cocktail hour and the upstairs Avalon room for our reception. From the moment we started working with Vida, their venue coordinator, we knew we were in great hands. Vida was incredibly responsive, organized, and paid close attention to every detail to ensure our day went off without a hitch. She was so flexible and went above and beyond to help us execute all the details of our vision, making the entire planning process much less stressful. The value we received for the money was unbeatable - the high ceilings and stunning views of the sunset from the windows created such a beautiful, nautical ambiance. Where do I begin?!! The Portofino Hotel & Marina was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! From day one all the way to today, a few days after the wedding, all the staff we encountered has been excellent!! Specifically I want to give a shout out to Sierra, Rain, Luis, Paco, & Mac. Sierra was my main hotel wedding coordinator and contact. She was so responsive, attentive, organized, sweet, available, and amazing!! I couldn’t be happier with her and her services. The entire experience was seamless. We planned an entire wedding in under 2 months together as I was eager to marry my man this year. She was so helpful and explained any and all things when I had questions. Starting with booking the venue all the way to the day after the wedding. Everything was so organized, including the deadlines of decisions I needed to make, and payment info, and what to do if it rained. She had everything covered. THANK YOU THANK YOU SIERRA!! Rain was also another venue coordinator & catering sales manager who helped us too and he was amazing as well. He stepped in when/if Sierra was out of the office and he attended our tasting and answered so many questions as well. He was so nice, sweet and great to work with. Very organized and never missed a beat! Thank you Rain!! Luis, the director of Banquets, handled anything food and drink related and everything was perfect. He even placed two of each hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table (knowing we probably wouldn’t get a chance to eat them during cocktail hour as we were busy mingling) and he was right!! It was such a sweet, simple gesture that made a big impression on us. Paco was one of the Bartenders from the day of (I never got a chance to meet our other bartender) and he was so fun and cheerful and positive and an overall great spirit. Guests kept telling me how much they loved Paco and me too! Mac worked on the hotel side and we met him when we checked in and he handled ALL our luggage and he also golf carted me around on the actual wedding day so I didn’t have to walk too much. He was super sweet and was so helpful and had a great vibe! Also, my initial point of contact was Melanie who responded to my initial venue request. She was so great and helpful and responsive that right away we were sold and we booked the venue the next day without ever even seeing it in person. On top of all the AMAZING staff, the venue is just absolutely beautiful!! You can’t find a prettier ocean front venue in the So Cal. Just gorgeous. We chose a type of all-inclusive wedding package that included a sit down 3-course dinner, open bar, ceremony, hotel room, wedding cake, and many more perks such as white linen, candles on each table, arch on the ceremony grass, champagne toast, etc. It was perfect, efficient, organized and made my life so easy. I really didn’t have to do much except invite guests and show up!! many of my guests told me afterward they were so impressed with the staff, venue and the food!!! Seriously, the food was excellent. I know all of this sounds too good to be true but honestly it was. I had zero problems, no horror stories, nothing. It truly was a PERFECT day and overall experience. I also found out afterward that a coworker of mine got married here too this past summer and she said the same thing. Her day was perfect as well and I am not surprised at all. Thank you to everyone at the Portofino! We cant wait to come back just to enjoy the restaurant, the views and the excellent service :)

Playa Studios is the ultimate wedding venue and acts as the perfect template for your big day. Tucked away at the end of a cul de sac, which keeps your event private to just you and your wedding guests, the venue is incredibly spacious with tall ceilings and tons of striking modern design elements that provide that initial "wow factor" right as you enter. We were also provided a list of modern furniture items that we could use for our layouts, including tables, chairs, couches and planters. The venue is incredibly spacious and provides ample room to be creative with your floor plan and inject any personal touches that you may want for your wedding. The Playa Studios team are true professionals, and they are incredibly easy to coordinate with. The venue is perfect for those who have specific food / drink / vendor choices in mind as well. While guests were in the foyer for cocktail hour, the team was able to seamlessly and silently flip the main hall from the ceremony to the reception while simultaneously working with our vendors to make sure everything was configured quickly and correctly. Given that Playa Studios is used also for commercials and concerts, the sound system installed throughout the venue is top-notch, and the lighting package is an incredible option as well. Music was loud and crisp in all parts of the venue throughout the night - even during the flip between ceremony and reception - and the lighting transformed the ceremony space into something that felt completely new for the reception. Overall, we were extremely thrilled with how our wedding turned out. We received nothing but positive feedback from our friends and family, with many compliments targeted towards how beautiful and modern the venue looked. Would highly recommend going with Playa Studios for your big day.

My family selected Jamaica Bay Inn because it was next to a small beach cove accessible from the Bermuda banquet room. We gathered for a Celebration of Life event and wanted to fly kites in memory of our beloved that passed away. Sayyora the Catering Manager was extremely efficient and flexible with the menu and my special request. Christina and the banquest staff were amazing. Christina had to leave the room to answer another clients questions and made sure another banquet person was in the room until she returned. The food was hot and plentiful. We selected the Buffet Pasta Station (1 with chicken and 1 with shrimp), baby greens salad, delicious fresh fruit. Accomodations were made for my request for a gluten free menu. I was in the hospitality business for 19 years for major hotels as a Catering Manger and Covention Services Manager and my critical eye can be hard to please. But I must say that the attention to detail was above and beyond. I would recommend Jamacia Bay at every opportunity. My family wants to return for a family reunion or just a family luncheon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

I had the pleasure of planning and coordinating a recent wedding at SmogShoppe, and let me just say this venue is such a vibe! Working with Dana, Clare, and the rest of the Marvimon team again was such a joy, as they always make the whole planning process a breeze for myself, the bride and groom, and everyone involved in the big day. The venue itself is so unique, eclectic, and has a ton of character that little to no decor is needed. Even still, the clients and I had a lot of fun personalizing the setup to create a fun and unique vibe that highlighted their personalities on their special day. If you're looking to host your next celebration at a one-of-a-kind venue that's far from your standard hotel ballroom—you've found it at SmogShoppe!

Velaslavasay Panorama

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

The Velaslavasay Panorama is housed in the Union Theatre, a historic neighborhood cinema built in 1910 with a neon marquee, enchanting garden, vintage theatre space and 360-degree painted panorama viewing hall. Set in the historic West Adams District near Downtown LA, a visit to our panorama is complimented by a stroll through the Garden and Grounds reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, featuring lush tropical plantings, a wide variety of succulents, a misting and meditation grotto, and a copper-roofed gazebo for reading and reflection. We are using Zola to promote our site as a rental venue for weddings and private events. To learn more, visit rental[dot]panoramaonview[dot]org and to ask questions or schedule a tour, contact event[at]panoramaonview[dot]org.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.

Last October my son got married in down town LA. Grooms side from NY & Brides side from Dallas. Our family and friends all stayed at the Hoxton downtown. We ate, drank and partied for 4 days. The hotel and staff were generous and accommodating in every way. The good bye Sunday brunch was warm and comfortable, I felt as if I was home. The food was remarkable. If I need a hotel in LOS ANGELES I would stay at the Hoxton every time.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Jennifer Flores and Carina Martinez, the incredible wedding coordinators at Lakewood Country Club, for my wedding on October 11, 2025 and I can truly say it was a dream come true. From the very beginning, Jennifer and Carina were patient, visionary, and incredibly kind. They guided us through every step of the planning process from the tasting to the final details with grace and professionalism. Their attention to detail and calm demeanor made the entire experience stress-free and joyful. The venue itself was everything I had hoped for: romantic, elegant, and perfectly suited to our celebration. The dance floor was electric, the ambiance flawless, and the flow of the evening was seamless. My guests are still raving about the short ribs, my brother even asked for seconds!
