“I hired Abby & Cohl after RAVING recommendations from a friend and what an amazing choice it was. Abby was so friendly and excited when we were only communicating through messages. She was helpful and wonderful in choosing what was right for our wedding. When we met for the first time the day of our engagement photos, my fiancé thought we had already met because of how friendly we were ALREADY. Truthfully, talking to them, it felt like I had known them for years. They plopped us down in the middle of a field and from that came some of the most beautiful photos of my then fiancé and I that I had ever seen. The very next day, we had a gallery with pictures and shortly after came our video from Cohl, which was such a surprise but they work so hard to put out incredible work and quickly. Our wedding day came around and both of them were irreplaceable assets. Not only did Abby unknowingly create the entire schedule for my wedding day, it was like having another bridesmaid with me. It was like having another best friend in the room while I was getting ready, and another family member at the reception. Cohl was so professional and courteous, making sure we knew to “just pretend he wasn’t there” and telling us not to apologize for being in his way. Their vision is clear, they’re artistic and brilliant in the field, they turned my backyard into the moody, romantic photos of my dreams. “Where do we even begin? Starting with our engagement shoot, Mark and Beth made us feel so comfortable, and were so good at capturing the way we feel about each other. They have a great eye for what will make a good shot and we’re super attentive to details. They made the shoot so fun and we ended up with a great mix of formal shots and more fun/spicy shots. We had originally planned to just do our engagement shoot with them, as we were getting married out of state but when we got the proofs back, there was no question about paying the travel cost to have them capture our wedding day. They were totally on top of the planning process and really let us be creative with the shots that we wanted and what the day was going to look like. They were there for us every step of the way, and will make you feel like you can handle anything your crazy aunt or creepy family friend is going to throw your way on your day - they’ve seen it all and they play defense for you. Wedding day rolls around and they’re in full on production mode. When I say that I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the wedding day, I mean it. They had our schedule, kept us on track, and most importantly, they kept us relaxed. I cannot stress enough how special it was to have them both there to get both angles of all of the moments - it’s not something you really think about until you see how special it is to have both sides of the first looks, walking down the aisle, and the first kiss. As my husband and I talked about the day on our way to our honeymoon a few days later, we agreed that choosing Mark and Beth was by far the greatest decision we made for our day. We loved them, and they gave us the most precious memories to cherish for ever. Their work speaks for itself, there’s no question about that, but I think the most important thing they bring is the passion they have for what they do, and I think that’s what made us trust them as much as we did. We really could not have asked for a better pair to work with, and every one in our family LOVED them. If there was any recommendation I had for future brides, it’s to let Mark and Beth be your people.”

“Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

She was fantastic to work with from the very start, super responsive and professional, and when we got our engagement photos back - I knew we made the right choice!! I wanted photos that felt like real moments where when I saw them - I didn’t think of the pose and position, I thought of the emotions I was feeling and that was what she was able to capture! Our engagement shoot was so fun, and she was so flexible with our vision - meeting us in Lake Geneva, WI for a little bit of everything (lake photos with our dog, sharing an ice cream, and then photos of just myself and my now husband - cuddled up on a couch at a local coffee shop). Come wedding day - she was the perfect amount of letting moments happen naturally but also, making sure things we said were important to us as a couple were captured! Sometimes instead of doom scrolling on Instagram - I happily scroll through the photos she captured!”
