To be perfectly honest, I love what I do. I'm damn good at it. I have dabbled in all sorts of jobs but I kept coming back to the camera. It feels really good to take the craft that I love so much and share it. The scope of my photography is wide but I specialize in weddings and elopements. I've been photographing weddings since 2005. I believe in vibing well with your photographer because let's be honest, your photographer will be up close and personal with you throughout your big day so it's important to choose someone whose energy you enjoy and mesh well with. Having a phone or zoom chat or meeting in person is a good move!

Awarded Best of Zola
Autumn photographed our wedding and absolutely knocked it out of the park! We're so thrilled with how the photos turned out. Autumn captured so much of the fun, emotion and positive energy of our day and we couldn't be happier with the results. Beyond being a talented photographer and artist, Autumn is also both professional and fun--a true delight to work with. She always communicated clearly and timely. She helped us (a couple of self-proclaimed awkward introverts) feel comfortable in front of the camera. And her joyful enthusiasm added to the happy energy of our wedding celebration. We loved working with Autumn and highly recommend her!

I'm east coast born & raised, but a loyal Seattle convert since 2014. I love trash reality tv. I teach aerial yoga once a week. I'm usually craving fries. I'll never turn down a margarita (except while I'm on the clock at your wedding!). I lead student trips abroad with National Geographic. I think there's no better way to spend a summer day than in the sun and on a paddle board. And I think that your wedding should be exactly how you and your partner want it to be. Email me at katejmillerphotography@gmail.com and I’ll tell you hilarious stories and answer all of your questions.

My fiancé and I worked with Kate for our engagement pictures and couldn’t be happier. We were both hesitant to do engagement pictures but Kate made it so easy. Communication and setting up a time and location were a breeze. She suggested we pick locations that were meaningful to us. We went with two of our favorite spots in our neighborhood (Ballard locks and the Farmers’s Market) with the hopes of capturing some of the gorgeous fall colors and all the water in the area. Kate heard us and delivered! Most importantly, she took two awkward subjects, who aren’t crazy about being the focus of attention, and made us look good! She gave just the right amount of direction so we weren’t flailing which allowed us to relax. The pictures really captured “us” as well as all the colors and background we had talked about. Exactly what we wanted! Thank you, Kate. Next up, family pictures with our fur baby. :)

Hi. My name is Eva, great to meet you! Thinking of trusting me with planning your event? Here is a little about me. I am a Vashon Island native, former Chicago dweller and currently live with my husband and two wild boys in West Seattle. I have 10 years of experience of planning + managing gatherings for as little as 20 and as many as 500. From intimate benefactor dinners to elegant fundraisers to festive and modern weddings, I have been involved in just about every aspect of an event that you can think of.

We hired Eva as our partial wedding planner about a year out from our date. We had the venue booked (actually found Eva through our venue!) but she helped us sort out the rest of our vendors. We had a couple of calls to get to know each other, for her to learn our style and what we were looking for. Then Eva gave us a month by month task list to break down the overwhelming-ness of planning a wedding into manageable chunks. She researched vendors, reached out on behalf when requested, and sent us reminders to kept the process moving. Leading up to the wedding she joined calls with the DJ and caterer to make sure we were all on the same page and directed all our vendors on where they needed to be when. Each call I just felt so thankful we had someone to make sure nothing fell through the cracks. The day of our wedding went so incredibly smoothly and Eva did an amazing job. I didn't even see the venue until I was walking down the aisle and got to have a peaceful, fun day because Eva took care of everything. I 100% recommend her!

Amelia Soper Photography

I’ve always been that girl who absolutely hates being left out of a good time. FOMO, amiright?! Weddings are sort of an extension of that for me. I want to be there to capture every bit of the fun, excitement and overwhelming, heartfelt joy. I work hard to get to know my clients, expecting that by the time your wedding day rolls around, you’ll consider me a friend. You’ll know me and I’ll know you and when I show up on the big day you’re both simply going to think… Hey, my friend Amy’s here. Awesome! Because the truth is this: It’s much easier to relax in front of a camera when you know there’s a friend you trust behind it.

We were delighted to have Amy Soper as our wedding photographer. Her professionalism, courteousness, and enthusiasm made our day even more special. The beautiful, professional photos she took made me feel like a Disney princess and perfectly captured the magic of our day. Amy truly shared in our joy and checked in throughout the evening to ensure everything was going smoothly. Her energy and professionalism meant this was one thing we didn't have to worry about on the big day. The only thing I would have appreciated was a bit of guidance during photos, especially for things like "your necklace is crooked" or "chin up a bit". These are things I couldn't really tell in the moment but noticed in photos afterwards. Not enough to deduct a star though, Amy was great to work with. We highly recommend Amy Soper to anyone looking for a talented and enthusiastic photographer for their special day. Her work will leave you with treasured memories you'll cherish forever.

Groove Kitchen

  • Band or Ensemble
  • Starts at $2,000

Ed Mays Groove Kitchen is a red hot Seattle based dance band made up of some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest entertainers. We specialize in classic R&B in the tradition of Aretha Franklin, Sade, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Bonnie Raitt, etc. But because of our extensive backgrounds our repertoire is actually quite broad and can include vocal & instrumental jazz, classic rock, blues , Latin, etc. We also play a lot of current hits. It helps to have something for everybody. However which way you like it, we’ve got the groove that is going to make you dance!

I recently hired Ed Mays’ band, Groove Kitchen, to play at a retirement party for my wife. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. The band showed up on time, was very accommodating to the requirements of the event and played great music. They were just right in the sound level to provide good dancing music while allowing other attendees to carry on conversations. I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

The Ruins by Landmark Event Co

The Ruins by Landmark Event Co is a one-of-a-kind wedding venue in Seattle’s Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. With its enchanting atmosphere, The Ruins offers a memorable setting for dining, dancing, and celebration. The venue can accommodate 150 seated guests and 300 standing, offering a flexible layout for any event. Herban Feast provides award-winning catering at all our venues, delivering exceptional food and service tailored to your event for a smooth, seamless experience.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces

  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No on-premises lodging options
  • No built-in audiovisual options
The Ruins is like someone took all the cool bits of Seattle, threw in a dash of vintage Europe, and turned it into a wedding venue. From the get-go, the place just oozes personality. You've got walls with hand-painted murals that could have been lifted from a storybook – I’m talking vibrant colors, whimsical scenes, the works. And antlers. And trees indoors. Each room in The Ruins has its own thing going on. One feels like a swanky 1920s lounge, another like a secret garden. We had space to spare, so people could either kick back in a cozy corner or hit the dance floor without stepping on toes. The décor is this wild combo of eclectic and classic – it's like your great aunt’s house if she had more money than cigarettes and if she collected stuff from around the globe and had a killer eye for design. The library is amazing – shelves lined with books, a fireplace that makes you want to curl up with a novel, and this epic swooning couch. So, I might’ve taken inspiration from George Costanza – yep, I did a topless photo shoot on that couch. It was all in good fun, and the photos are a riot – a keepsake that breaks the mold of typical wedding seriousness, just like The Ruins itself. The food was great (but they let you bring in your own desserts so do so if you wanna save some money). The only, minor issue, is the bridal suite's location. It’s right by the kitchen, so it’s kinda like Grand Central at rush hour with the staff buzzing through. Note to brides: Swap it out for the library. Trust me, it’s much less busy (if darker) and you won’t have the kitchen hustle messing with your pre-walk-down-the-aisle zen. Honestly, The Ruins is the kind of place that’s perfect if you want a wedding that's a bit left of center but still super heartfelt. It’s quirky without trying too hard and intimate without being cramped. The whole day felt like us – not stuffy, just a big, fun, love-filled party. The Ruins has many nooks crammed with curiosities and corners begging for a photo op, it’s a place that feels alive. The mix of odd and elegant, the hand-painted walls that seem to whisper tales, the stuff like the enormous elephant (sadly, only in the back back room so only good for wedding photos not the guests) and the patterned horse and much more all adds up to a vibe that’s as unique as your weird cousin, the cool one, not the other one. The Ruins is like that one weird friend who's always got a story to tell and makes everything more fun. Having our wedding there was like a non-stop highlight reel – even with the bridal suite hiccup. It's a place for good vibes, great times, and amazing photos to start your weirdly ever after.

We celebrated our 10th anniversary with a photo shoot by Celene, and it was an amazing experience. Celene was very communicative and open to my vision of incorporating our wedding day and sharing that story with our daughter. She made us feel comfortable, guiding us through every shot, and the final photos perfectly captured our love and family. Due to a recent family loss, I was overwhelmed with emotions that Celene welcomed warmly. We couldn’t be happier with the memories she helped us create. PLEASE INQUIRE THROUGH WEBSITE!

Leaving you saying, ‘that’s so us’” - I had no clue this was Sarah Jane’s tagline until a week or so after our wedding, but in the meantime as I retold the story of our incredible wedding day to all of our friends and family I kept saying, “In the best, most quintessentially cheesy way possible, it was so us.” And it truly was, the location, the hiking around, the dogs, the camp cooked dinner, all of it was a perfect culmination of our lives together. Sarah Jane is a true gem. Her energy and positivity makes the wedding planning process fun. She is incredibly supportive and thoughtful when creating a wedding day that honors the couple and their vision. During our wedding day, she kept checking in on us to ensure we were doing okay and she was the ultimate hype woman to ensure we were having a good time and feeling good - she has a way of making a person feel SO GOOD about themselves. She did an incredible job curating a schedule for our day hitting each of our key activities and landscapes we wanted to have on our wedding day. Her skill and artistic vision is astonishing, the way she uses light and the natural landscapes to take beautiful pictures is astonishing and I will cherish our photos from that day for the rest of my life. Every fiber of your being will be grateful you booked her as your wedding photographer.

I don’t take myself too seriously. I like to have a good time. I spelI things how i want and I will never wait for a crosswalk. I prefer quality over quantity. Unless we’re talking about coffee, chocolate, wine, shopping, and deals…then i want quality and quantity. I’ve got a potty mouth and a good heart. I give so many fucks about what I do. The details, the experience and creating some real good imagery. I’m an artist and I want to create something beautiful for you.

From the moment we met Andria, we knew she was the perfect photographer to capture our wedding day. Her eye for detail and capturing images is truly exceptional. Her photos feel like velvety heirlooms that we treasure every time we look at them. Her knowledge and experience were invaluable on our wedding day, she was the ultimate MC and helped make our day flawless. While a constant professional, she still made sure everyone had fun and was comfortable in front of the camera. What started as our engagement and wedding photographer, continued with a boudoir shoot, two newborn shoots and two 1 year-old shoots (7 sessions!). We hope to have Andria involved in our family's future milestones, as long as she'll have us.

This review is for our wedding that took place on 08/17/24. Hiring Act 3 Catering for our wedding was easily one of the best decisions we could have made. From start to finish, they exceeded every expectation. From the initial menu tasting, to setup of our late night snacks on wedding day, Act 3 was professional every step of the way. Roslyn was an absolute gem throughout the entire planning process—always responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful in making sure every detail was just right. On the day of our wedding, the staff was phenomenal. The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests could not stop raving about it! The bartenders were amazing, especially when it came to crafting our specialty cocktails—they nailed them perfectly. The team made sure our plates were full, our drinks were never empty, and we truly felt taken care of the entire night. Beyond the impeccable service, Act 3 Catering made everything stress-free. The setup and teardown were handled seamlessly, allowing us to simply enjoy our special day without a worry. And to top it all off, they surprised us with the most thoughtful thank-you parting gifts and a signed card, which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. If you’re looking for a professional, talented, and incredibly thoughtful catering team, look no further. We cannot recommend Act 3 Catering enough!

Trinity Tree Farm boasts gorgeous views of Mount Rainier on their 40-acre hilltop nestled between Tiger and Squak Mountains. Couples can accommodate up to 150 guests at each of their gorgeous venues. The Barn and the Lodge are completely separate and each have beautiful ceremony lawns with custom arbors and benches, two firepits, two getting ready suites, a large reception space and plenty of room for dancing! Create a new tradition after your wedding and visit the farm to select your perfect Christmas tree each year!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away

Venue considerations

  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Not for you if you don't want a rustic vibe
The Lodge at Trinity Tree Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. We knew as soon as we toured that it was where we wanted to get married. We especially loved the arch in front of e gorgeous evergreens and that the reception hall comes beautifully decorated with hanging lights and a big chandelier so we didn't have to invest in as much decor. I'd describe the venue as elegant, timeless, and elevated Pacific Northwest. Our guests loved the s'mores at the real wood fireplace. And I loved getting to watch the wedding party walk down the aisle from the reception hall then have my bridal moment walking down the stairs by myself before meeting my parents at the bottom. Though their communication was a bit slow at times, they were always thorough in addressing our questions and concerns. The staff took care of setting up all of the tables and chairs, removing that logistical burden from our family. On the day-of, our coordinator (which we arranged through Trinity Tree Farm) Hannah ensured that we could fully focus on celebrating our marriage rather than worrying about the behind-the-scenes details. If you book with Trinity Tree Farm, definitely invest in the day-of coordinator!! We are so grateful to the Trinity Tree Farm team for helping to make our special day absolutely perfect.

I've been photographing professionally since 2004 and while it's always so awkward to write about yourself, here goes: In that time, I've been honored in my field as Seattle Bride Magazine's Best Photographer multiple years and invited to the exclusive list of WBWP as one of the World's Best Wedding Photographers, planners and clients tell me I'm known for flattering posing, natural results, indoor lighting in tricky situations, and a light touch that allows beautiful moments to flourish ♥︎

Kimberly is absolutely incredible!!! A beautiful and kind person, and her work is just as wonderful. She was so helpful in ways that were far beyond photographer duties and took the most stunning photos. We could not be happier.

Hi! I'm Jordan, your photographer! I'm so glad you made it to my page. I started off as a portrait film photographer almost 20 years ago and resisted transitioning to digital until I couldn't anymore. Now, as a wedding photographer, my work is a hybrid of both digital and film and I'm so thankful to have the variety!

We absolutely loved working with Jordan! She made what could have been a very awkward day of posing for intimate elopement photos feel so fun and natural. My partner and I love the different locations she took us to and the result is some of our favorite photos as a couple!

There aren’t many times in your life you have your best friends and family members gathered together in one place. this lends itself to good photography. but it’s important we get good access, that we be able to photograph you from the perspective of a close friend or family member. we want to shoot your wedding from the inside out, not the outside in. when you get your photos we want to bring you back to those moments in an intimate and impactful way, so you can remember how it felt.

Hiring Melanie was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the moment we connected, her warmth, professionalism, and grounded energy put us completely at ease. She’s not just a photographer—she’s a deeply intuitive presence who sees people in a way that is rare and sacred. Throughout the planning process, Melanie communicated with such clarity and kindness. We always felt informed, cared for, and completely confident in her. She truly went above and beyond—balancing artistry with organization, professionalism with deep presence. On the day itself, she floated through our space like a calming force, capturing moments we didn’t even realize were happening until we saw the images. Her work is stunning—rich, emotional, soulful. Every frame feels like a memory you can feel. She captures not just what things looked like, but how they felt. Our Super 8 film made us both cry. The textures, the movement, the way she threads nostalgia into the modern moment… it’s magic. What we appreciated most, though, was her. Her energy, her grace under pressure, her dedication to getting it right—not just technically, but energetically. Melanie holds space in a way that makes everyone feel safe and seen. That’s something you can’t teach. If you are lucky enough to work with her—do it. She is a true artist, a steady hand, and a beautiful human. We are forever grateful. - Rachel
